Better late than never, but not happy that lessons learnt were not implemented much, much earlier.

Going to be further monitoring of the roadways out of Sydney now as well, yeah duh, as this wasn't obvious weeks ago as well.

It’s been all political unfortunately all about money if it was about health advise this lockdown would of been 2 weeks ago , politicians keep on keeping on while others have no pay for 2 weeks thanks for that morons!

Worst thing about it is this massive crackdown in South west Sydney should have been done in the Eastern Suburbs to start with and we may have got a lid on it. The folks who are actually well positioned to absorb the personal economic impact of a lockdown rather than people lower down the socioeconomic ladder out west who are more likely to be living week to week.

Absolute idiocy on the part of the government.

The most annoying part of this for me is over xmas we who live on Sydneys northern beaches were not even allowed to see relatives who lived outside the old Pittwater council area and the hot spot based at Avalon was controlled.Dumbo Doris this time decided to throw that policy out of the window and the current mess is the result of her not being a leader.
She has failed NSW badly as has Scamo who has failed all Australians with his slug like approach getting the vaccine to the general public

*Cultured* Bogan ?

I'd be happy for Bunnings to stay open.

During our long lockdown in Victoria (#3, I think) my local Bunnings ran a very efficient click and collect service out of its carpark. Pull up, stay in your car and goods were delivered in to your boot.

I stayed sane (relatively) catching up on maintenance work around the house and garden thanks to that.

Could not agree with you more. Gladys is not gold standard, gold plated or even gold painted. She should be held accountable for what is a major screw up.

Watches news ltd absolutely hammer Daniel Andrews, but Gladys seems to fly under the radar.

Dan had plenty of covid deaths on his hands Gladys has not. Victoria couldn't even get the QR codes in place properly and the contact tracing is garbage down there
But hey "stand with Dan"

Even though vaccinations were never going to be foolproof and weren't claimed to be, there are clear patterns of infection showing how politics can poison outcomes.

Don't stand with either of them, but I think this shows Gladys was as much good luck as good management. Gladys is making a comeback in the death stakes & I think that the early Ruby Princess outbreak and subsequent deaths have been conveniently forgotten.

She did like taking shots at Victoria & now whinges that Qld doing the same.

Gladys has totally underestimated the latest strain & focused more on $$$ than actually leading the state.
NSW will be enjoying a long lockdown period now because of it.

Making light of those removalists abusing the rules that they agreed to abide by, thus spreading the Sydney strain far and wide, and possibly soon having another quarter or so of the nation in lockdown.

Removalists again hey, this time apparently 3 of 4 knowingly **positive** carrying the virus left to go to Molong, so now the Central West is affected as well.

That is next level stupidity.

If anyone dies in central western NSW as a result of this, they should be charged with manslaughter. I cannot even comprehend someone getting a positive result and then consciously deciding to travel hours away into regional NSW. It is not negligence, it is psychopathy.
