does that mean Officeworks and Bunnings will stay open?

Liquor stores shoud close?

Ikea/kmart should close

your local accupuncturist/massage therapy can remain open?

Officeworks and Bunnings can remain open yes.

I actually think Big W and Kmart should be allowed to remain open.

I guess so if say yiur heater karks it... Or you need another jacket or blanket

Or if you want to build a gun rack .....

No...wrong...again

Off to work this morning after some confusion on when and where Id work...
Gotta travel through Bankstown LGA on a main arterial so that will be interesting

Good to see WA and SA contract tracers amongst others pitching in to help out their peers in NSW at this time.

For our brothers and sisters down south, I hope that transmissions from major sporting events haven’t spread much further.

Night Rider escape ........

Crash and burn ?

Knight Rider just premiered in QLD..

It’s 1982 in Queensland ?

Didn't realize they were so advanced up in Queensland, at least they clawed back an hour since daylight saving finished.

Now that just about everybody else has done so, the head of the WHO has also now reversed his rhetoric on the lab leak origin:

“There was a premature push [to rule out that theory],” he said. The WHO chief, who is an immunologist, stressed that he himself had previously worked as a lab technician, “and lab accidents happen”.

“It’s common. I have seen it happening,” he said, stressing that “checking what happened, especially in our labs, is important”.

“We need information, direct information on what the situation of these labs was before, at the start of the pandemic.”

I find it disgusting that this very plausible theory on the origin of the most damaging global pandemic in a century, was so ferociously smeared and censored as an 'extremist conspiracy theory' for so long.

Plenty of people who should have known better participated in this for political reasons.

Has China stopped donating to the incompetent and corrupt WHO?

Better late than never, but not happy that lessons learnt were not implemented much, much earlier.

Going to be further monitoring of the roadways out of Sydney now as well, yeah duh, as this wasn't obvious weeks ago as well.

It’s been all political unfortunately all about money if it was about health advise this lockdown would of been 2 weeks ago , politicians keep on keeping on while others have no pay for 2 weeks thanks for that morons!

Worst thing about it is this massive crackdown in South west Sydney should have been done in the Eastern Suburbs to start with and we may have got a lid on it. The folks who are actually well positioned to absorb the personal economic impact of a lockdown rather than people lower down the socioeconomic ladder out west who are more likely to be living week to week.

Absolute idiocy on the part of the government.

Could not agree with you more. Gladys is not gold standard, gold plated or even gold painted. She should be held accountable for what is a major screw up.

Watches news ltd absolutely hammer Daniel Andrews, but Gladys seems to fly under the radar.

Gladys has had a dream run, she has been close to the edge for a very long time but it's all over now, her luck has run out.

The most annoying part of this for me is over xmas we who live on Sydneys northern beaches were not even allowed to see relatives who lived outside the old Pittwater council area and the hot spot based at Avalon was controlled.Dumbo Doris this time decided to throw that policy out of the window and the current mess is the result of her not being a leader.
She has failed NSW badly as has Scamo who has failed all Australians with his slug like approach getting the vaccine to the general public

It's not a race mate.

Making light of those removalists abusing the rules that they agreed to abide by, thus spreading the Sydney strain far and wide, and possibly soon having another quarter or so of the nation in lockdown.

Removalists again hey, this time apparently 3 of 4 knowingly **positive** carrying the virus left to go to Molong, so now the Central West is affected as well.

That is next level stupidity.

Knowingly?

Apparently so as they had received their test results.

Wow, that is just disgusting. Punishment should be huge for that.

Absolutely, maximum fine and then double it.

Things like that really warrant jail time (gaol when I went to school) and not a slap on the wrist fine that probably doesn't get paid anyway, but then what do you expect when so called state leaders don't pay their quarantine bills.

It's a shambles..My young bloke works in logistics which is now classified as essential... currently lives in Silverwater and works in Smithfield.. apparently fine to go to work next week but is moving to Hurlstone Park the following week..we don't think it is fine... or maybe has to get a test every 3 days..dunno..

The other thing is living outside the locked down LGA's.. You live in Cambo (2560) but work in Liverpool say you can go work in Livo no problem but the other way round .. It's like they think the virus sees your 2560 postcode and say nup for you immune..wtf FMD..

Our obese jockey would definately agree with you considering he hasnt even found his mount yet. He is far too busy protecting the incomes of some of his fellow jockeys from the same racing stable to actually doing anything.
Meanwhile the effects of climate change have beeen creating havoc during the Northern Hemisphere summer which is another race he couldnt give a rats about

I laughed when some of these questions were being raised on the news last night & the response was, "the finer details are still being worked out". It is not like this has happened overnight, surely there were contingency plans developed for various scenarios.

In the words of Hannibal Smith, "I love it when a plan comes together".

Looks like it's staying in the triple digits.

Looks like overnight just about everyone bar construction workers who have forever been basically immune from restrictions, all of a sudden have become one of the few not on the list of so called essential workers.

Gotta be taking the piss with a dunny paper roll long list of others.

I wouldn't normally quote someone like Ayn Rand, but your comments about Scomo reminded of this statement which has been attributed to her:

"You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality."

And just to keep it on topic, that statement can probably be applied to "Gold-standard" Gladys as well.

I was watching the government press conference and between the 7 and 13 June 2021 there was 2000 report adverse affects from vaccination and only 303 deaths of those 2000 vaccinated so that's ok I guest if the government is ok with that

What?

My boss called.me as the Broncos scored there first try.... Told me I can't work as I'm in a suburb bordering the lockdown LGA.

He didn't sound happy when I told him another manager yesterday okayed me to work today

I've gotta apply for the disaster payment and the co will cover the shortfall so I will get a full pay the next fortnight
