Delta is jumping the Western Hwy recorded cases now in PARRA LGA .
do you reckon Parramatta lga will end up with restrictions like south West and cumberland
I think it's going to be state wide, very shortly.
The talks are getting strong.
@cochise what do u think?
I think some areas of Sydney will get a slight easing of restrictions while others will have them tighten.
The line that the Premier kept repeating on Friday has me worried, a pathway to living safely and freely. I am worried we will loosen restrictions and attempt to keep a cap on numbers instead of tightening down and trying to get it back to zero.
I think the construction industry is playing a part in this by pressuring to reopen which I think would be a mistake as well.
its disgusting an industry and even businesses (harvey norman but not so much in this case) has enough pull to put lives at risk and sway someone of such power to fold after what a week? whilst small business owners have been closed up for months
Yep disgusting fairfield and co tradies can't even go to work
i go through at least 3 roadwork zones on my way to work which have come to a complete stand still, it's going to delay the work far more than the 1 or 2 weeks that its closed down for. i don't agree it was the right call, if anything construction could have been ramped up and implemented rapid testing on them, perfect timing to get projects completed. but when you make that big call, on your own back, stick to it, don't fold after a week cause the industry complained.
It drives me up the wall that we have a low value import tax because Gerry Harvey whinged he can't make a buck from charging extraorbitant prices for his goods which are available online cheaper and available from overseas at a fraction of that price if you're willing to wait for/risk the shipping
the pull that people have that shouldn't has now gone too far, she made a call, right or wrong, to close down construction, cases have still skyrocketed and she now turns around and says oh you know what, it's all good to resume work. stick to your guns like you have with the half assed lockdown approach.
and now with the mass amounts of shopping centres that are hot spots for multiple days, i can guarantee a WAG will be at one of those sites bring it home spread to the construction worker who will take down the site
either listen and follow the health advice fully as she was doing before making the construction call, or make your own calls and see it through until cases start to drop. making a call and then flipping it without any results just seems crazy and adds fuel to the fire for other fields to kick up a stink and get their work back on the essentials list and making a domino effect from there
