Yeah, news that balances the situation. Just like elsewhere, the vast majority are doing their bit for the common good.
The “Common good” is not always just that
There’s been no shortage of literature based around the dangers of collectivism
I support the rights of the individual

Does anyone know why it can’t be manufactured in tablet/capsule form?
Many reasons
1. It is not the purpose or intention to "spread" the vaccine throughout the body. In particular with the mechanism of this vaccine it is not a good thing if that happens. There has been much made of a recent release under a Japanese FoI of Pfizer studies that show that over 48hrs the lipid nanoparticles that house the mRNA of the vaccine accumulate in other organs (particularly bone marrow and ovaries) and those advocating against the vaccines have made a big deal of this because it is true you dont want this happening. I was in fact making a big deal of this at the time. What is not stated in that information (and a big part of why I have changed my mind) is that what ever concentration of lipid particles are found in ovaries etc, it is about 1/100th of the concentration of the lipid nanoparticles that stay at the injection site and this is EXACTLY what it is designed to do.
The reason is that you do not need it to spread to the body. The mRNA "teaches" the native cells to produce a S1unit Spike protein and your immune system learns to react to that so taht if it see the spike protein from the COVID virus it learns to kill that as well. Your immune system just needs to learn what it is and react. It doesnt need it all over your body and in fact there is a fair bit of information that spike proteins throughout your organs are not something you want.
2. Secondly, by swallowing a tablet, it is a different action for absorption and introduction. I dont know this for a fact but I'd assume that the mRNA would create spike proteins in your gastro system and your immune system would react to it there. Might not be what you want.
I just thought that if they can detect traces in the sewage systems why can’t they develop a vaccine to put in our water supply..?
Just a thought..
No one would be the wiser ..
Medicated beer. Get a six pack of "Vax".

My parents have both had clotting issues, but don't fit the specific 4 conditions that give them automatic access to Pfizer. They have sought medical advice and as they are 87 & 88 respectively with dementia, as a representative of their children I also spoke to their doctor long ago.

Why is collectivism bad in this context? Forget about what literature may say in some abstract context and try to actually apply the principles. Do you in all circumstances support the rights of the individual over the collective good?

It does make you wonder where we'd be if the Government had not made a distinction between Pfizer and AZ - simply open the clinics, walk in and get vaccinated with 'a vaccine'. Hesitancy would barely exist.
Similar to your parents, I have a long history of clotting issues and my Dr recommended not to get AZ. There was nothing I could do to get Pfizer so had to choose between being unvaccinated or taking AZ. My Dr finally agreed that COVID was the greater risk and I'm now lining up for my second AZ next week.

Why do people deserve an option especially those over 70. I don't understand your point of view.
Can you explain it to me ?
Yes, immediately after you explain why they do not deserve the same choices that you have.
If it is a brand preference it must be based on medical advice. The reality is that it's the health advice for a reason. That is why we have GP's to escalate your concerns too.
We don't want to go against the health advice without a good medical reason.
I should add I don't understand the argument not to get vaccinated on a personal level. I accept though that people will choose not to get vaccinated and I accept that is their choice.
Doesn't explain why you should have a choice that others don't.

My father has multiple medical episodes during his lifetime, from encephalitis having him go back to begin primary school again as a teenager, first of multiple heart attacks at 40yo, lost count of how many pacemakers/batteries which he is now 100% reliant upon, cancer, replacements, blood and clotting etcetera to spend years in hospitals. In between he has mostly been trojan like that few could keep up with.
A sister has finally been able to make arrangements for an appointment in the coming weeks, but for mine and I am pretty sure most of the community would agree, they should have been able to be vaccinated with their recommended option long ago.
I don't know if some of the elderly that have died in this latest outbreak were in a similar position, but I certainly hope not.

Could you imagine opposition leaders calling out State Premiers for enforcing masks and fear mongering over the vaccine. It’s beyond words how crazy it is.
