I suppose it is good to be a NSW resident when we will likely get freedoms earlier than some others thanks in part to advantaged Pfizer vaccine rollout allocations above and beyond that which was agreed.

To our forum brothers and sisters in Victoria with reportedly some 300k of their allocation diverted and greater numbers of AZ recipients with it's problematic much longer shot timing, I feel for you guys being booted around and used as a football. With division seeded by a foreign owned media mogul and politicians, rioting on your streets as a result, whilst also having to wait longer because of the allocations, it is a disgrace.

I don't think too many people in Victoria would have begrudged Sydney receiving the lion's share of the additional Pfizer vaccines obtained from Poland. You guys had the greater need at the time.

The fact that the federal government also secretly diverted other Pfizer vaccine allocations to NSW was contemptible. But I doubt they've heard the last of it. Their report card is due to arrive in the mail very shortly and the subject of Covid management will feature significantly, I suspect.

I don't trust pollies with my health, and I would say anyone that does needs their head checked. I do however trust medical professionals that pretty much all agree to get jabbed.

Always good to have a good relationship with your GP mate

Presumably you're 'all in' on this and will also refuse hospital care and treatment should you become seriously unwell?

Absolutely.

I don't understand this propensity to take health advice from the likes of Craig Kelly and Clive Palmer. These two guys are not the epitome of good health, and would likely be the first to be offed by COVID due to their morbid obesity.

It's like taking your car to an accountant instead of a mechanic.

Contemptible indeed that as the veiling is removed as much as transparency and availability of information makes possible, apart from the disparity in the allocation numbers, as each day passes it appears that there is another case of politically coloured spreadsheets at play unfolding.

If, and it is increasingly looking that way, the still somewhat hard to obtain Pfizer vaccine has also been prioritised to electorates held by the government under the federally controlled rollout to other than the state run facilities , that would be similarly despicable. Particularly so if the armed forces have been used to facilitate it and provide cover.

I haven't read or heard anything in regard to preferential vaccine rollout based on electorates.

I was annoyed by the fudging of vaccine allocations, simply because they weren't up front about it. At first they denied it, saying the vaccines came from existing stockpiles, then they had to deny that they actually had stockpiles and then, eventually, the truth came out. It annoys me that the "go to" position for this government seems to be to lie about things and see if they can get away with it.

Meanwhile, in Victoria, our position was rapidly deteriorating. Two of my sons, both under 35, made the decision that the risk of contracting Covid was greater than the risk of blood clots and decided to get the AZ vaccine. Maybe that was a decision/risk that they shouldn't have been obliged to take. Who knows whether the 340,000 Pfizer vaccines secretly diverted from Victoria would have negated the need for them to take that risk had they been dispatched in accordance with the agreed allocation.

Have seen electorate related GP allocation figures for some time and whilst generally staying away from this and other of the more toxic threads, the situation surrounding the goings on for you guys down south drew me back.

To see the discord being created in Victoria by media and coalition representatives at all levels, even across state lines as well, using the covid pandemic as a tool of division is very disturbing.

That said, there are voices in the parties such as the Darren Chester's that are reasonable and supportive, though they are not enough to lessen the effects of their fellows.

For me, seeing the leading cosplay parliamentarian and fake miner or tradie Matt Canavan often given a national platform to ferment dissonance and encourage the likes of those that dressed similarly standing around a banner of his words at a remembrance shrine, is just plain wrong.

788 cases today.

State has hit the 60% double dosed target.

Targets as follows:

90% single dose / 70% double dose: 6th October
80% double dose: 15th October
90% double dose: 25th October

One thing I have to say is that despite the Federal government getting it wrong with not diversfying the vaccines from the start, the NSW Health department (and the people of NSW for that matter,) have been amazing in their rollout. From 1st April to 1st July this year, 1.788m first doses and 471k second doses had been administered for a total of 2.259m doses.

From 1st July to now (roughly 3 months also,) a staggering 3.983m first doses and 3.482m second doses have been administered for a total of 7.375m doses from July 1st until today.

Hardest hit LGA's with COVID are also the areas well below the state average for vaccine take up:

Canterbury-Bankstown: 1844 actives - 51.6% double dose rate
Blacktown: 1218 actives: - 57.1% DDR (not quite as bad as the others but still a bit below state average)
Liverpool: 1115 actives - 51.0% DDR
Cumberland: 1113 actives - 48.5% DDR
Fairfield: 606 actives - 51.0% DDR
Sydney: 530 actives - 46.1% DDR

Have to take your hat off to the majority of people in NSW, we've certainly rolled our sleeves up incredibly well to make it this far this quick.

DIY.

Easy to do with a pair of decent clippers mate. Don't have to do a #1 all over. I did mine and while my barber would do a better job, I look much better than looking like a caveman.

Nah did my usual square back and sides with a side part. Found a good video on YouTube where this barber does it himself. Like I said, not as good a job as Adz would do but decent enough.

I'm so impressed with our vaccination rates. It's awesome. As for haircuts I always knew you guys were soft. I've been using clippers for years. My wife cuts her own hair.
