Just received (again via my partner) a social media from the Mayor of my LGA that our LGA has reached over 95% of the population over 15 with the first vaccine shot (68% double vaxxed).

If the rest of the city/state nation/ got to 95% I think we'd be fine. I hope this is the way it rolls out everywhere.

Yeah the Hills/Hornsby/Northern Beaches areas have all really stood and taken advantage of jabs.

In the mountains we're at 87% and 59%. Camden, Campbelltown and the Shire all above state average too, at the very least it should confine the spread in the areas where vaccination take up is slower (which are also the areas of concern.)

It's really sad to learn of personal struggles in lockdown, especially elderly parents living alone and isolated from children. I just had a chat with a lady who had a bit of a moment because her mother is not eating and is depressed. It's easy to get caught up with your own issues but it is good to be reminded others are in need as well.

Out of iso yet Paws?

Yes thanks and no Covid after 5 tests 14 days iso.

A big thanks to IGA Cronulla for prompt delivery of groceries.

Good to hear.

But the strict mask wearing rules is starting to irritate me lol

I hate wearing a mask while walking. It's a low risk environment as well.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I'm not going to trust politicians with my health and so be it if I'm in lockdown forever, I hate most people anyway.

I’m actually starting to get use to it. I feel naked without it once I leave the house.

I guess you don't use any other form of medication? It is not the politicians I am trusting it is the doctors.

I think any major restrictions for unvaxxed people will start disappearing early next year anyway.

I don't trust pollies with my health, and I would say anyone that does needs their head checked. I do however trust medical professionals that pretty much all agree to get jabbed.

I suppose it is good to be a NSW resident when we will likely get freedoms earlier than some others thanks in part to advantaged Pfizer vaccine rollout allocations above and beyond that which was agreed.

To our forum brothers and sisters in Victoria with reportedly some 300k of their allocation diverted and greater numbers of AZ recipients with it's problematic much longer shot timing, I feel for you guys being booted around and used as a football. With division seeded by a foreign owned media mogul and politicians, rioting on your streets as a result, whilst also having to wait longer because of the allocations, it is a disgrace.

With NSW advancing on the 90% single dose target, it should be fairly evident soon what the balance of the required doses are with a small stockpile to jab the remaining 10% that want to be jabbed, and all others should be diverted into VIC primarily as fast as possible to stop them from ending up like NSW.

VIC is the absolute next priority. They're on a four week lag and they need to get jabs in arms ASAP to mitigate the spread.

Realistically the east coast of Australia should be prioritised. The bulk of the population is on the coast between Melbourne and Townsville. WA has a hard border, SA only have active cases in HQ.

Melbourne and Sydney are international cities. Brisbane is economically linked with northern NSW and requires cross border travel. They are receiving the bulk of the international visitors/returns. It is imperative that these areas get priority before focusing on the regions that have it under control.
