while it would be a shame for the aussies if SA are to see it through, i think that this test has basically proven that australia, in a 3 match series, are a better team than SA.

The Aussies dont have a very good record when it comes to winning close test matches. Hopefully this one will be different. 2 wickets to get and 13.4 overs left.

Geez I'm glad we won. I couldn't wait another 2 years for the next series between these two great cricketing nations.
Not for the first time when we needed him, and on a 5th day wicket, Nathan Lyon had nothing. Not only no wickets, but he didnt even look to be troubling tail enders.
He does his part to keep an end tight and picks up a few wickets here and there when the team is on top or when he is attacked, but he struggles to manufacture wickets. I think its important to know that this is a limitation in his game. I suppose he is a finger spinning offie.
