Yeah certainly a good game for him. I literally only looked at the NSW line up and people I believe COULD be in contention for test spots in the near future.
However, Clayton surely seems to be having a decent season thus far averaging just under 50 with 533 runs. Neser also good for first game back from injury.

I like Jack Edwards, but I think he might be next in the category of gun NSW Shield allrounders who aren't quite up to test cricket after Dominic Thornely and Moses Henriques. Hope he gets a few test caps here and there.
 
Don't really care about Konstas failing in this Shield game
You go to camp in UAE with test squad. Then you go to Sri Lanka only to be told he's dropped and head home .Not great for confidence
He is needed for the WTC final as he will take on these South African speedsters just like he took on Bumrah
McSweeney and Labuschagne will quake in their boots

It’s doing my head in how Marnus is still getting selected and at 3?
His last at bat I was actually hoping he get out cheaply again to force their hand. Now I see Smithy saying he’s “out of runs, not out of form”
That is the biggest load of crapolla statement I hear in cricket.
He is out of form at it is glaringly obvious to anyone watching him.

Marnus is an exponentially better batsman than I am...however the shots he is playing to get out - and even shots he is playing which he luckily survives are the same ones I would play should I be selected in my current form to play at that level.
Thats the definition of being out of form....
 
Hard to believe our team for first ODI
we have only 3 of our ODI world cup winning side
Those 3 are Smith ,Zampa and of course Marnus ?
Rest of team are BBL stars
Hope they realise this is 50 overs not 20

Sri Lanka batting so poor doesn't matter much
I thought these games are preparation for the Champions Trophy in a couple of weeks and if so should team be similar

But next over Smith takes a screamer off Shorts bowling
Now 6 -122 Smith has taken 3 catches already

I'm not surprised as our bowlers used to bowling 4 overs
10 overs is a stretch
Don't think they will handle the top sides batting line ups

You can't pick a 50 over team based on BBL performance

He looked terrible . Why are the T20 guys picked .No track record in ODI cricket
