Well Aussies and Indians both opted for four quicks. Aussies won the toss and put India in to bat.
India looking fantastic at 4/63 with Ghambir, Sehwag, Dravid and Tendulkar all out and without Ravichandri Ashwin there the tail order is a little longer.
India need Kohli, Laxman and Dhoni to all fire.

Well, I'm going to don the Captain Obvious cape and state that India could have done a hell of a lot better. Our pace attack has seemingly come in leaps and bounds within 12 months. The real test will be the next series against England and South Africa.

Well well well… Warner smacks 104 off 80, Cowan scored 40 off 58 (Dravid would be proud!) and 300 runs were still made in a day.
Hoping they both forge on tomorrow and Cowan gets a ton and Warner pushes toward 200\. India's bowlers seem completely clueless, not alternating their plans to suit the carnage they are being subjected to. Warner isn't just swinging, he is hitting every shot clean. Will be interesting to see if India lie down tomorrow or get stuck in.

Warner only looked in danger when he tried to block the last over. Couldn't get bat on ball for the whole over!

I found it strange they didn't make too much mention of the century in the session
It can't be that common these days with the slow over rates etc

Fantastic effort from Warner…he is a tough little bastard and is so powerful. That shot to the head he took would have canned yet he gathered himself and went bang, bang and the third would of been 4 as well if not for the gull...awesome stuff.
Reckon we can put another 400 on them tomorrow and a bit more on Sunday just to embarrass them further.

Century in a session is a bit devalued these days because there are so many long sessions - Mark Taylor scored a century in a session when he made his triple century but the final session went for 3 hours or something crazy. Warner though was the real deal. I think they only bowled 29 overs.

I have to say, even though they've barely played together, I like the Warner/Cowan opening duo, Warner showed again tonight just how easily he can take a game away from a team while Cowan is solid and can hang around for long periods of time. Hopefully they can continue to work well together, we've lacked a quality opening duo since Langer and Hayden retired.
