Bowled out for 155\. The foreign legion (Ballance and Stokes,) went out and set up a late resistance and Broad hit a quickfire 30.

Set these beggars 400 and totally humiliate them.

LOL @ Stokes giving Johnson a send off. Must have forgotten he has to bat again. Odds on Johnson tries to lid him first ball he gets at him.

And Australia completes a huge upset. Well done lads.

Johnson and Haddin, two players I didn't believe deserved to be there spearheaded the series with the bat and ball. Always happy to be proven wrong and I hope this form translates to South Africa.

England on the other hand were absolutely gutless and outside Carberry, Broad and Stokes no one put their hand up to be counted. Pietersen may have top scored for the Poms but he played this whole series for himself. Look forward to seeing the back of him, and hopefully Anderson as well.

Our bowlers won it for us

first time ever 100 wickets taken in a series I believe…something like that

amazing when not too long ago we couldnt get 10 in an innings

It happened in 07 as well Ink but point taken, this sides bowlers have been outstanding from the very first innings they bowled until this arvo.

Awe inspiring victory, this much maligned side hit the Gabba with most judges predicting a tough summer for them. Very very few seriously thought they'd win back the ashes and I'd wager no-one thought they'd clean sweep the series.

Not only did they achieve this but they:
won @ the Gabba by 381 runs'
won @ Adelaide by 218 runs,
won @ the Waca by 150,
won @ the G by 8 wickets and
won in Sydney by 281 runs.
They took 100 wickets and lost 77 of their own,
They scored 10 centuries to England's 1
and won every test well within 5 days.

That is true domination from a side widely considered the underdog.

This is a truely inspiring Australian sporting story. Very proud of their efforts and wish them all the best in the ODI's. Enjoy the next couple of days on the sauce boys!

Absolutely dominant display the whole series. So many players under the microscope prior to the series stood up and had incredible series (Johnson, Haddin, Warner). Personally I felt Haddin was a little hard done by for man of the series. There was several occasions where he batted us out of trouble and without him we probably only win the series 5-0\. I also felt Steve Smith was very hard done by for man of the match, his first inning century was probably the best knock of the entire series.

I have been following cricket for 40 years and never have I seen a team disintegrate like England. One has to ask how did they win three Ashes series in a row. Maybe it was the problems within the Australian administration that made England look the world beaters that they weren't. I Always felt that England had a soft underbelly …. Well this series certainly proves the point. But never did I contemplate a five nil debacle. I have mixed feelings about a whitewash. It's great to see Australia win of course, but you like to see some opposition. A bit of excitement or closeness to make it worth watching. In our sport, it's like winning 60 or 70 nil .... Lets hope The Poms can rebuild and put some pride back into the cross of St.George .... Cricket needs a strong England.

What an achievement for Clarke, Lehman and everyone involved. All 5 victories were quite comprehensive. Unbelievable series from Johnson and Haddin in the main but credit to every single player who all played their roles.

Bailey may not find himself named in the first test against South Africa with his series probably being the poorest. It would be hard to take him out of a winning side with no real candidates.

England were very disappointing. Carberry and Stokes had a go. To an extent had so did Broad and Root. If I was English, I'd be asking myself if Cook is the right man to captain them. Though I'd be very disappointed in the series of Anderson, Prior, Pieterson, Swann and Bell. They looked like they didn't want to be hear too often.

Has Bailey done enough to get a trip to South Africa ??

Not by a long shot. Some are calling for Faulkner to come in, but I think we are going to need at least six genuine batsmen plus Hadds against SA. Batting is pretty fragile as it is, and I think the bigger question is whether Watson has done enough. Two decent scores when the pressure was off and (second innings in Perth after Smith & Haddin did the hard yards in the first innings and Melbourne when the series was already won.) Doesn't justify selection in my opinion.

Truth is though that Doolan is averaging 37 in FC, North was probably the prime contender for #6 but is out of the loop now with his brother passing away and Silk is probably still to green to bring on. Hughes is scoring well but has repeatedly failed and I think Khawaja was set up to fail by not being given a good enough chance to prove himself.

I think Bailey will go and play. He's an experienced player and is strong in the other forms so while we're winning he'll be alright. Faulkner doesn't bat well enough to be a test 6 or 7 for me.

Don't get me wrong, Bailey will go to SA. Does he deserve it though? I don't particularly think so. But after this series drubbing, I doubt they'll change a winning side. The Proteas will expose him (and much of our batting order.)

Our batting has improved and we'll expose them just as much as we are exposed. I think he could do with another opportunity. Especially with no easy and direct replacement.

I personally think the Saffas have a far more disciplined batting line up than England (and probably us ) and they won't step away from the challenge of Johnson either

Will be a great series no doubt , in my eyes if we can beat the Saffas on their own turf we will be the No 1 side in the world

At least the Saffas have a captain who won't go to water every time a team starts attacking his bowling attack and stick 5 on the boundary and will support his spinners with fields that you can bowl to

They'll need to replace Kallis and a few of their top players aren't in the best of form. Losing Kallis means more pressure on the other quicks and they still are playing spinners that aren't top quality who'll get treated as such by Clarke and co. I think the series will be closer then what many here think. We have a pretty good record over there too.

I don't know Peaches, I reckon we're in for a shock. There is a huge gulf between a poor England and a good SA. Philander and Steyn will ask questions of our batting that the English couldn't. Our bowlers will keep us in the contest, but we'll be outclassed with the bat.
