I assume this is sarcasm but I just can't find it ? He was lucky to get away with a $10k fine and he didn't even apologise properly as it was. Not only was it inappropriate in the workplace and in the media but has form for being sleazy. Mel was clearly offended and his behaviour shouldn't be tolerated.

Imagine if a stranger walked up to your wife and did that (and he is a stranger they don't know each other)

It wasn't a serious attempt. He was playing up to Australia's reputation for cheeky humour. Thats all it was. She could have come up with 100 comebacks that turned the laughs against him. Instead it's been blown up into this. :blush:

The only person who's looked good out of this is Mel. I reckon she's handled it nicely, said a NO then didn't talk about it until now when all she basically said was "move on".
