I'll bet every dollar i have that no Aussie side during that period was ever as useless as this one.

Ah..Boxing day..Left overs…packed G...ooops....

But Bill back on the tele... :master: #lonesurviver

Ambroses's comments about the West Indies being in the same timeline as the 75-76 Windies side are so far off its scary

Talking about a side that had Fredericks ,Greenidge , Rowe ,Kallicharran , Lloyd ,IVA Richards, Deryk Murray, Michael Holding ,Andy Roberts and Lance Gibbs

And this side could be its equal ….......

Curtley obviously had just been on a Rasta week with Geo at Nimbin

Let's be real Happy, what's he supposed to say?

"Yeah, we were a powerhouse with a plethora of talent and now we're struggling we've fractionated as an administration?" It must be incredibly frustrating for all the coaching staff to put up with the ramifications of coaching a side that is clearly not first choice.

The ICC has to step in here. The WICB cannot be allowed to sabotage itself.

Well he could of said what you said

He is part of the last respected side of West Indies cricket and I'm guessing many of the past greats would of supported him 100%

That places him in a place of power

Thing is like anything, success papers over the cracks. The West Indies cricket team is a confederation of nations, subject to significantly more political infighting and stresses than any other national cricketing body. It was great until the wheels started falling off and the grassroots had been neglected.

And they had the same issues beforehand too CB The Island of nations was always going to be a problem and Clive Lloyd managed to manage those issues

Look at those great sides of the 60's

Cammie Smith ,Rohan Kanhai ,Gerry Alexander ,Wes Hall and Charlie Griffith

And the greatest all rounder of all time Sir Garfield Sobers

You forgot Gomes and Dujon

How many times did we get those West Indies sides on their knees at say 5-150 and they'd find a way out and score 350 +

How in the hell is Stephen O'Keefe the next best spinner in Australian Cricket

I reckon Geo could land them better than O'Keefe

I know that I joke about NSW players being useless but in O'Keefe's case …....

The Aussies should not have declared in the first test. The public paid to see test cricket so the show should have gone on. As the Aussies were scoring at a good rate they should have continue until all out breaking many records along the way. At least the public would have enjoyed that part. Even if by a miracle that test drew there is no doubt they could still win the series. Ticket sales would have been okay that is also important. The crowd enjoys an occasional thumping as long as not too frequent to become boring. Would have had an element of BBL which is all the fashion these days

I think you're underestimating him. He's a great spinner and good with the bat too.

View him the same lines along with Shane Watson

Not a good enough batsmen or bowler at International level

Drops too many balls short from what I have seen

Probably get a wicket in the next few minutes
