Crowd was as loud as I can remember at Cambo for a long time.

Watching th replay on tv you can see the eastern side was perhaps only 1/3 full. The shaded areas were full. Not enough shade at CSS, like many stadiums in Australia.

Thought it was a good number, all things considered.
NRL crowds are generally pretty terrible IMO, given the amount of media coverage the sport gets. There's a real culture, in Sydney especially, of being a so-called 'die-hard' supporter, and yet going to no more than one game a year (if that).

pay tv has a lot to answer for.
i suppose the nrl get a good paypacket from pay tv anyway.

in the old days ,when there was little or no tv coverage,you either listened to score updates on the radio
or you went to the game.

if you have paytv,you have a choice.
