To be fair to the Roosters they lost SBW and Minichello last year and will most likely loose SKD, Tupou and Maloney this year and all they have picked up is Feguson (who could be a train wreck and wouldn't have cost much given his problems). Of course they do well with TPAs but their is nothing stopping us except for not being a well run organisation over the years from doing the same - after all I think Harry would have as many rich friends as Nick Politis

The NRL needs to come out and tell the public what the purpose of the salary cap is. Is it:
a) To stop the clubs going broke by overspending on players
b) To spread the player talent and create an even competition
c) Both a) and b)

If the answer is b) or c), the NRL needs to do more to ensure that player talent is spread fairly. For example, two things that stick out of my mind to create a fairer competition include:
1) TPAs have to be abolished, or included as part of the salary cap
2) There has to be concessions for less desirable places, such as Canberra

If fans can see that the NRL are making more of an effort to create an even competition, the fans will come back to the Greatest Game of All.
