IMO, his signing along with a bench prop completes our 2018 team. He is vital.
Signing a winger is not vital at all.
It is when you've got MWZ and Naiqama as contenders for your starting wing spot. Every great team has great wingers.
How's Naiqama a contender when he won't even be here? And MWZ will be a depth player in 2018.

I gotta ask the question too.. In which way is this kid "vital" for our team? I think we will be just fine with or without him. He's not a game changer

Pretty funny really, when the level of talent can't sustain 5 Australian teams now, so that should be a roaring success.

And the ARU would ban any player from his comp to play for the wallabies. Stick to mining Twiggy.

That is unless Twiggy does a Kerry Packer and brings in the best across the globe and pays big bickies … this will be IPL revisited - a five nations IPL cup featuring Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England and France. About time that rugby had a big shake up. Good luck to him.

That was an era when cricketers were porrly paid. The best union players are already well paid and wouldn't give away their test jerseys.
Its a fantasy.

It's the Superleague vs ARL again. This time though there is not much TV rights for people to fight over. I suspect that the good players will stay in the ARL and Twiggy will buy the offcuts. But the offcuts will be happy to be playing and getting field experience. The players will be happy but Union will be harmed.
In fairness to Twiggy and the Force. They have a fair claim to a team, it is DUMB so dumb for Union to force this upon themselves. Unlike Murdock and his butchering of the NRL this actually is born out of fairness.
The NRL should set up in Western Australia with a 10 year plan. We need to expand League and with the force pulling out we can set up a base. WA needs a team to get behind and we set up a good team we can really take the area.
Meanwhile maybe we can sign up a few decent players.
