This whole ''JT promised this, JT promised that'' rubbish is one of the biggest hyperbolic misconceptions in the history of the forum. If anyone can produce just one quote where JT promised or guaranteed he would turn the defence around i'll happily stand corrected. From my memory it was his goal to improve the defence, nothing more. And given our history of being an attacking oriented team that had failed more than it succeeded, he was right in stating we had to turn it around.

Our coach has done wonders since he arrived under a lot of internal bitching and duress (that's putting it mildly)….he very nearly has full reins now....wait and see what happens when he does?...I think there are some juicy signings just around the corner.... :sign:

The point is completely valid though. We shouldn't be making decisions based on appeasing players. Each player should be signed or let go on his own merits.

Has anyone ever explained to our players that they simply aren't good enough to bag any Coach. We haven't finished in the top half of the comp for 5 seasons. They're not as good as they think they are. I don't know if Taylor is the right man for the job,but it seems like every Coach has problems with this squad. Be a consistent Semi final team or God forbid a Premiership team and then you earn that right. In the meantime, SHUT UP AND PLAY

I consider Teddy and RF good enough to bag the coach, Teddy is a superstar and RF repped OZ - both superior to JT. Moses year for year is at a superior level than Jason was and maybe ever was. Maybe they shouldn't bag the coach out of respect and harmony but under their breath….

If he's here next year, we'll be paying him nearly 400k to play reserve grade anyway. At least this way we'd save ourselves a bit of money like we did with Farah.

Tiger Torch's post on 05/08 said that Siro is on $280k now and the option Siro took up was for $300k.
No where near the $500k people are talking about on here.

Now I'm confused..the said salary keeps going up by the week…will hit 500K by the release...

It is false economics we would be paying the best part of 1million for players to play for other clubs.It makes zero sense to me

It makes zero sense to me either but it seems to be the Wests Tigers MO! Paying, in part, for players to play at our rival clubs, ad nauseum - brilliant idea! And we wonder why we are never in the hunt for the good quality players when they are available :unamused:

If the 400K figure is actually true, the person who negotiated that contract for the un-tested, under-performing back rower with the famous name ought to be shot!
