The next one will fail too if he is like JT and has crap 1 dimensional game plans and rubbish team selections where the same guys get picked every week regardless of performance… Come on GNR you've been constantly telling us how crap Sirro is and how crap his performances are yet JT selects him week after week. Would you call that a competent decision to select Sironen every week?

If the reports are true that Siro is out of favour then JT deserves props for finally pulling the trigger. I just hope the halves are next. Could be a sign that accountability is starting to rear its head.

These players are still in the side together with Rankin who while on the wing forms the slowest wing combination in the NRL. I like him - I always have, but I cannot believe that he hasn't moulded into an attacking weapon and heavy hitter by now. I remember the try he scored in the wet against the Raiders, pure grit speed and strength. That was a few years ago and he had done nothing since. He should be our Dylan Nappa.

I heard a stat recently that he only did 8 hit ups in an entire game. He is just not involved enough for an NRL level forward. We could carry a player like this if he had a lot of off loads and attacking flair, but he hasn't shown that part of his game either.

The thought of seeing him excel at another club makes me feel ill, but he has had his chances here and shown very little. I expect he is on good coin too.

I like the mole, he is one of the few who actually admits to who he really is (Prentice). He has contacts and I think his hit rate is pretty good. The Lurker on the other hand…..

The ex-international dad also had a reputation for going missing in club games, before once I a blue moon playing a blinder, or putting in 10 minutes of highlights during a game. Hopefully he has been sent to state cup with clear directions on where he needs to improve, and will focus on this. Is he a better player than Aloiai? More than likely. Does he put in half the effort? Doubtful, and that is where the problem lies

I am a fan of the big fella. It's just that well….his heart doesn't seem in it for the rough stuff. It's kind of like why Bolt doesn't run marathons. I don't think he was born for it.

I feel that the best footy I have seen from him was at 5/8 and maybe he feels that as well.

I do wonder if he might no be better slimming down. He seemed to have a fair bit more pace when he started, and his extra weight doesn't seem to help him get through any holes.

Hopefully being dropped will be the motivation he needs for change.

We've been waiting 4 yrs. Believe it or not, he made his debut under Sheens in 2012, and here we are in 2016 still debating his potential. At the beginning of his career, some had him as a future Aus rep. As it's turned out he's barely able to crack it into the City team. Bottom line is if he goes somewhere else and kills it then good luck to him. The club can't be blamed for that, what are they supposed to do? You can blame the coaching, but the truth is he was average under Potter as well. Excuses need to stop for him, whether its injuries or never playing in the back row coming through the juniors. That might be true, but you know who else didn't? Chris Lawrence. And in under 12 months in the back row, is now the best back rower at the club.

I do wonder if Mitchell Pearce was on to something by not wanting to be a Tiger. Carrying the name of a famous father at not the same club, but the same Tigers name would be a burden and who knows could be why Siro has struggled. Either way, if he ever reaches his potential, i can't see it being here. He's not going to suddenly turn into a beast, if whatever talent he has is going to emerge, he needs a change of scenery. And the club can't be blamed if he does, cos they've given him every chance in the world in the last 4 yrs, totalling almost 70 games. What else can they do?

Ditto saying the creativity has been coached out of him is rubbish. You have got a earn the right to be creative by doing the hard stuff and getting in good ball position. I have seen Curtis trying to be creative and all its done is put our team under further pressure.

I like Curtis but I'm with the coach on this one. old man sirro should know better and it's time to let everyone know that you will be judged on your on field performances no matter who you are. I suspect he is probably a lazy trainer, his performances certainly hint at this. A change might be good for both parties.

You are somewhat correct, The better you are (at anything in life) the more slack you are cut with things, and Tedesco is far more important than SIrro.

The other part is that Curtis's dad isnt just another guy, he is a club legend that people listen to (rightfully or wrongfully), so him criticising Taylor carries more weight. If Tedesco's dad said that Taylor was coaching the creativity out of him, no one would care. Paul Sironen says something and people will look into it.

It starts at Harold Matthews. Not only that they only select certain players. Someone like Alfie Langer wouldnt make a a junior rep side, even after ripping it up in the trials. They would look and say too small, he kicks funny and he cant pass very far. Forgetting that his vision just laid on 3 tries and his football nous made him the best on the field. Happens all the time, they wonder why we have no halves coming through.

Anyway I digress.

That is the bit that does my head in, we have a winger and centre who have major defensive flaws work together all year, with no improvement, and on the other side a bloke who is out of position and to slow for wing who keeps getting picked there.
And that is not counting the poor choice of centre partner for him when Simona was suspended, it is like the coach is trying to lose, either that or he has no idea.

No Curtis' dad is not a club legend, he has played as many games for Wests Tigers as I have!
The fact he played for Balmain is completely irrelevant and it means nothing

That's a matter of perspective.

If we are going to pretend the Wests Tigers appeared out of thin air 17 years ago, then yeah ex Balmain and Magpies players are irrelevant.

But if we take the view that the Wests Tigers a marriage of those old clubs, then we also have to accept that their legends became our legends, and their histories became ours also.

I prefer to think of it as the latter. The old clubs live on through the Wests Tigers, and so do their legends.

In saying all this, its not something of such importance to lose sleep over.
