Curtis Sironen released [Official p.40]

Well I am not going to join the some that are wanting to give him the boot or put the boot into him, as for me he is a footballer and a first grade one at that.

I mostly blame the coaches for him not setting the world on fire, not Taylor singularly, but coaches and clubs collectively that have allowed this wonderful game to become the mostly boringly slow barge fest it has progressively become over the last decade. It is not a matter of looking back at the "good old days" with rose coloured glasses like some of us do occassionly, the game is now a game for giant athletes with skillful players, particularly the smaller ones weeded out at junior rep level.

Cartwright is one of those rare players that despite being a relatively poor defender by modern standards has been allowed to progress and show his wares. I am not saying Curtis has the same extraordinary skillset, but he has plenty to utilise if he is just allowed to do so. If he does go to the chooks, I expect to see Robinson allow him freedom and use him such as he did SBW and a rejuvenated player will appear. Good luck to him.

Bayley is a tad injury prone…if we want to invest in a wide running backrower from the 20's Esan Marsters is who I'd be looking at...

As for Siro Snr Jnr...sometimes a change of Club can be best for all parties..we will carry some of the cost but as FT points out the balance can be put to good use elsewhere...

So now we will be paying Sironen and Farah to play at other clubs? It seems we've learnt nothing from the past and are set to repeat the same mistakes.

Here is a more viable solution; get rid of JT and hire a coach who can coach.

We might be paying some money for Farah next year if he goes to ESL but I doubt it would be much, but if Siro has gone to the club and requested a release we would not be liable for a cent

Yes blame the coaches, omg will we never learn. I have seen sironen try to be a ball player and it has lost us games. Our club has drawn a line in the sand and said we are not going to try all or nothing plays until we have earnt that right. Hey if you don't like it, off you go. We have tried the other game plan unsuccessfully for over a decade. Some people are slow to adapt, that's all right, adapt at another club.

Adapt to being last but one in his first year and the wins this year have been over poorly performed and hugely under strength sides! JT's plan is really working.

You may care to be off with the fairies but others live in the world of reality and until the club has the moral fortitude to tell JT to hit road on the donkey he came to town we will always be poorly performed.

I take it that you enjoyed Wednesday nights couple of hours of repetitive nonsense.

Siro is not on big coin, so we will not save heaps.

He is a ball player - that does not seem to be allowed to do that.

Good ball playing forwards do not grow on trees.

Release him and we will go through this big scenario again - "Why do we release all these good players, Koro, Austin, Liolavare, Sironen etc. etc."

Sack the coach - will be interesting to see.

It's not necessarily putting the boot, i just don't feel his 1st Grade standard. He's had many years to make an impact but hasn't been able to do so, it gets a point where you draw the line with players wanting to be loyal and them actually being 1st Grade standard.

His obviously in Reserve Grade for a reason…so if another Club comes in for him it would just mean freeing up some money to be spent in other areas that need reinforcing.

I don't have loyalties to any players no more, the only one that I would be devastated if he left would be Tedesco, this is a Business and like any job in this Country if your not performing and picking up your act? In time you will be Unemployed, same for players.
I'm sick and tired in the Club making us believe in the BS they have dished out to us about all these Potentially brilliant players, the only ones that have improved are Tedesco and Sue.

This day and age you can't be just a ball playing forward. When it goes against you, you still need to be able to make 40 tackles and dirty hit ups and gave a high work rate….see et.

The bloke has let the side down so many times I've lost count he has and always will be running on dads name he is a good nsw intrust cup player if him and daddy have the poo's with the club see ya later, Josh Aloia has shown more and he has only been here for 4 months

Pawsandclaws….you want to bash them coach who is sacking underperforming players and trying to move us up the ladder. I don't understand. You sack him and new coach takes another 12 months to sort through the deadwood. A weak coach would still have Farah calling the shots.

Ha, the coach should sack himself first off. Then we can gauge the quality of our roster under a coach who can (this is a unique concept), coach!

Hearing hes almost done deal to the chooks

See they might be signing Albert Kelly too?

Some signings on the weaker side you'd think.

Siro in a very strong team could be a very good player, but i am afraid in our team at present especially in our forward pack he is struggling and he has a few guys in front of him. As for a ball player,ET has that role and is doing a great job. Not sure if he played under another coach here at the Tigers things would change. Anyway I think Siro needs a new environment so a move to the Chooks or who ever might be a good move

Very weak signings for the chooks. A return to the transit lounge days would be good.

If true then they are back to the good old days, with being apparently 600k under the cap you would expect them to be making some good signings.
