@Geo One thing I don't like is all the stuff that is attributed to climate change. The fires we are having now are a classic example. These fires are terrible but blaming these fires on climate change is another trip to bizzaro world.

This guy.. funny but true

Sure they can and I have no dramas if anyone chooses not to eat meat.
When they start to preach about it though, I find it tiresome because there are so many holes in their self righteous pontifications that you can argue around in circles for days.
Instead, I just laugh. They can delude themselves in any way they see appropriate as long as they dont try to preach it to me.

I don’t especially know of any vegans who preach, but I’m sure there would be some. However, I do know a lot of meat eaters who do. Refusing to acknowledge a person’s dietary needs after they were told about it and still putting meat on their plates because they just can’t accept someone having a diet that doesn’t contain meat protein.

They get very offended if you say your a vegan or vegetarian when you go to dinner with them. Seen and experienced it first hand, their behaviour is appalling and very hard to comprehend. I don’t know why people can’t just accept that some people don’t want to eat animals. You’d think we’d molested children the way some of them have carried on.

Friends of mine became vegan a couple of years ago and they went from zero to militant 100 in the blink of an eye. We were destroying the world while the vegans were the sole source of light amongst all the climate destruction.....
The problem I have is that all of a sudden every time we went out, it needed to be to a vegan restaurant and everything else was just disgusting and disgraceful. It's all well and good to have their choices met, but when it came to ours it was frowned upon and commented on.
It was a shame because my mate could slow cook brisket, made amazing pizzas etc.....but literally the next day it was "try a vegan tim tam it's exactly the same".......it wasn't even close.....

I guess it works both ways then. My experience copping it from meat eaters is very real too.

Yeah the only vegans I take issue with are pontificating ones. Someone says to me that they are vegan out of necessity (i.e. eating at the same place together or at BBQ, and they wish to avoid eating meat,) I have qualms with. They have their reasons and that's cool. The ones that carry one while wearing leather or still buying produce from large scale agriculture that clears land that displaces animal populations and uses pesticides which in turn injures/kills animals.

Fact of the matter is we cannot live in our society 100% ethically. You want to improve your impact on the food chain, that's cool, but don't preach to me about meat when you're wearing Julius Marlow's.

essentially to be a true flag waving, chest beating, pontificating vegan you need to live like the couple from The Good Life....

But the other ones that are a bit more respectful of other peoples choices and lifestyles....they're the ones that will bridge the gap....

Yeah true, not fair to hate on all vegans though. They're not all chest beating self aggrandising knobs.

3 questions

*What part was funny?
*What part was true?
*What's this got to do with Darius Boyd and his Vegan habits?

Funny? George
True? The dates he mentioned from around1800s not dissimilar to now

Why? It’s not a crime. People should be able to eat or not eat whatever they like without people criticising them.

So why do vegans protest against meat eaters
