We are better off putting Nofo at fullback. At least he will work hard and support through the middle. If your fullback offers no ball playing ability, then you might as well put a physical high work rate player there.

I think some on here are getting into the sack everybody mode before rnd 6/7 ...it takes that long for a young team with some new experience such as Gildart and Hastings to finally gel and get into the groove,I can forgive Laurie tonight,only because he has been the same for 3 weeks,BUT we all forget he could still be sheepish after his broken leg toward the end of last year..he has to really look at what he wants out of the game,injuries can be horrific mentally for some players,yet others get over them quickly...its up to Daine to prove his worth,and he better make up his mind soon...
Also,Madden,Garner and others such as Toa did very well,however dont forget the team was getting used to Hastings,JTJ and Ken M in the side as well as training together,Hastings suspension,JTJ injury,Kens injury has thrown everything out of sinc...
Lets not slit the wrists yet....

Bloody hell, thanks for reminding me that we traded Momo for him. We thought we had pulled off the coup of coups at the time, thinking he was a diamond the same way Stefano is. How wrong were we. Momo was solid for us.
 
Penrith didn’t want him that should have said it all but to have a fullback that doesn’t want to catch the ball or make tough tackle in last line of defence…

Is it only me or did anyone think he may have been doing a Simona? I found his mistakes very suspicious and the way he would try to look frustrated after them really looked like someone pretending to be upset. I know it's far fetched but it was just very suspicious.

That would be far too blatant.
 
Been shocking this season, but last season he was easily the player that put in most week after week, his effort along with being able to diffuse high balls was his better traits stark contrast to whats been going on these 3 games. Sure his defense wasnt great and no one is suggesting he was in the top echelon of fullbacks, but he definitely had more spark in his carry and was easily our most consistent player or there abouts. Sad to see whats happened, perhaps a combination of the injury and off balance in the mental..

They said that about Papenhuyzen 2 years ago , to the point the storm shopped him , because they’re incumbents Drinkwater and Hughes were injured …. Then the rest is history .
He can’t play worse than Laurie . Laurie has had a huge role in losing all of our games this year . He’s always out of position in defence , and teams know if they shift right engage Laurie in the defensive line , then he is extremely slow to understand / lazy , that he needs get the hell out of marker and start moving behind the line to the left because that’s exactly where the teams are going .
Then when the inevitable try is scored we all start blaming winger/centre/half/forward who has tried to fill the gap he’s supposed to be in whilst doing their own job .
It happened all last year , and it hasn’t changed this year .
His numbering in defence is garbage as well , he doesn’t read the play and numbers at all .
Sure he’s lightning in a bottle , but it looks like for now , every team has worked out how to put a lid on that . Which makes him redundant as a fullback .
