Its debatable if Cini swap is worthwile,we don;t know as yet if Laurie is cut out for FB after just a couple of games, but no doubt a talent,We get him next year anyway.Penrith are not silly, they obviously see something in Cini.I suppose the club is the best judge they would spend hrs watchin videos etc.

we have more centres than you can poke a stick at. we have 3 fullbacks on our list (M'Bye, Doueihi, Kepaoa) and none of them are specialists. Cini for Laurie makes sense.

Agreed, we are short at Fullback and 5/8th

I think desperately short at 6, look at the issue now with AD missing R1, who replaces him? what if he gets injured?

I agree, we are in trouble if we go into the season with Mbye at 1, Doueihi at 6 with back up 5/8th of Madden and and Talau. That is half a game of experience across 3 players in the position.

Walters is the backup 6. I know he's coming off an ACL but when fit he's capable of doing a job there.

I agree, but Isn’t he out for at least half the season? What trouble can we get into waiting for him?

I'm going to say June given that'd be 10 months since the injury occurred. don't think we'd enter the market for a 6 unless it's true about M'Bye wanting to head for the exits though. he'll probably be the backup 1, 3, 6 and 9 next year if he's still here. not sure what's out there if we do go after a 6, certainly don't think Marshall is a first grader anymore.

If we don't get Laurie Mbye is playing fullback.

I heard Brandy Alexander on Sydney radio SEN this morning where he said that, at this stage, both Laurie and Burton would be held by Penrith to honour their contracts for 2021.
So he was saying no swaps earlier.

Walters (brisbane coach) said he'll be keeping Joe Ofahengaue at the brisbane to honour his contract aswell. We all know how that ended.

while I get Laurie has a contract at Penrith for 2021 and all that, unlike Burton he's a development player. he's on minimum and is currently blocking a pathway for one of their juniors to train with their top 30 for 12 months before transitioning to the top flight. questionable decision from Penrith to keep him when you'd think they wouldn't waste their time developing him for us.
