I think the plan will be Hastings 7 and Brooks 6 for 2022. If Brooks doesn't perform then Madden or possibly Laurie to 6. Hastings isn't the fastest so having he and douehi in the halves wouldn't work, I personally like AD at centre .

I think Brooks 7 and Hastings 5/8, AD at centre with the pom, all depending who we obtain through Hartigan in the next 6mths. Alternative Brooks, Madden as halves, Simkin 9 and Hastings lock.

this,
i think the lack of quality centre/wing on the market (or willing to come to the tigers) will force madge to run AD at centre for next year, give hastings and brooksy a go. if brooksy or hastings doesn't work out its back to market or maybe then look at moving laurie to 6 if there's an abundance of fullbacks on the market by then.
the only problem will be the new club having all this cash to chase whoever they want, we will be forced to pay even more for key players who already don't want to come here

Brett Hodgson 2.0

Yeah, it's a good comparison. I think he's perhaps not as good a playmaker yet but he's physically stronger and perhaps a little faster.

Just cut out the staying down to milk a penalty.

Against any IC coached team he can fake death if it earns us a penalty

I wouldn’t say terrific game

He was safe at the back and did a couple good things in attack but he still has a bit to do in positional play when it comes to defense

Gee your a hard marker, thought he had a top game, everyone is entitled to an opinion though.

That post was 3 weeks ago ??
After the Newcastle game I think.

He’s been very good these last 2 games, credit where it’s due

Lol. Teams have been doing this every week, since before the crackdown and I hadn’t heard a peep from anyone. Laurie gets caught doing it and it’s one of the only things they could talk about post match.

Sad part is, if you don’t stay down, you don’t get a penalty unless it’s incredibly blatant.

If other teams are doing it then we're playing at a disadvantage not doing it ourselves

Still soft and I don't like it.

Agree, but if Momorovski is going to claim a crusher when nobody was near is neck and gains a penalty, then I can cop Laurie staying down when actual contact above the shoulders is made.

Surely this bloke is one of the top contenders for rookie of the year. 5 tries, 5 try assists, runs 150 metres a game or more every week, barely drops a ball at the back and saves tries constantly as well.

What a brilliant signing he has been and surely any talk of moving him to 6 or reserve grade has ceased, he is an amazing talent at only 21 years old. Every week he's improved and he'll only get better!

For a small guy he punches way above his weight every week. The effort against Jennings to stop a try shows his attitude. I think it is actually inspiring the rest of the team and they are finding their groove because of him. Imagine, a young bloke with a handful of games under his belt showing a team of more experienced players how it’s done!

He's a talent. Played a strong game last night, particularly in defense which was pleasing to see.
I was also enjoying him chirping away at the Penrith players all night, he was getting under the skin of a few as well.
