…........Foxsports News.....ran a story on the Panthers.......

Daine featured prominately.........

Looking forward to cementing a starting spot........
Lot of 'brothers' here...should help me settle in..........
I think I'll get a better chance over here than I did over there..........
MG....I think I'll be able to offer the big fella some guidence.......

Best of Luck Daine........

I have a feeling that big Daine will be a good buy for penrith and cause some real damage to some opposition packs.
In saying that i dont think we had much choice but to sack him as offield issues and being a lazy trainer wont be tolerated by Sheens and i beleive he had some chances.

Don't care that he is gone.

He is aggresive and a decent runner of the ball when he actually tries. This is not often though. Not to mention his defence and poor ball carrying.

Pritchard belted him once and he went missing for an entire fortnight.

There's no doubt the big fella has a hard road ahead of him if he wants to realise his talent. He's got to get his attitude right for starters and put in the effort like every other player. Still not convinced the Panthers will get the best out of him and hopefully Ellis or Galloway will thump him if he comes up against the Tigers.

It'll be Farah that'll exploit Daine's biggest problem - his lazy retreat in defensive. Robbie thrives on targeting these big fellas.

That will be the first try, and the 2nd will come from one of Benji's short inside balls to Moltzen running straight through Daine.

Assault charges against Daine Laurie dropped

Assault charges dropped … New Penrith Panthers player Daine Laurie had the charge of attacking his partner dismissed at Campbelltown local court today. A one-year apprehended violence order was made. Picture: Mark Evans Source: The Daily Telegraph

AN assault charge against NRL player Daine Laurie has been dismissed in a Sydney court.

Laurie, 25, was stood down by Wests Tigers in September after being charged with assaulting his partner and mother of his two children at their Leumeah home.

In Campbelltown Local Court today the assault charge was dismissed and an apprehended violence order was made for one year.

Laurie will play for the Penrith Panthers in 2010 after being released from the final year of his contract with the Tigers after the arrest and chargwe was laid.

That's great news for Daine…..Hopefully he can get his footy back on track as well

In the paper today there is a small artical on how Laurie has missed training four times already because he lives to far away & how the panthers have failed to find him suitable accomadation in the penrith area.
Sorry but if he lives in Parra there should be no excuses.CATCH THE TRAIN DAINE.
I now see why we offloaded him.Ill dicipline will kill this kid

I'd say laziness and a lack of willpower and discipline will be Daine's undoing.

its a shame he missed folksey's boat.

So true. How we couldn't find rental property for him in Concord is beyond me. With players like him, it is institutionalised within them to have a lack of organisation and accountability. You have to bring them to training every day until something in them breaks and they realise the importance of it all.

I read that article about missing training already 4 times and I could not believe it. A very very non existant almost (or perhaps orchestrated?) Assault incident against his defacto and whammo he goes from getting under $50K a season to $150K. Then the allegation of assault is dropped because it can not be proved (Daine called the police to report his defacto had assaulted him) and he gets arrested when they arrive :unamused: . That rightly gets dismissed but WT release Daine.

He really needs to knuckle down or he will be in big trouble and his life not his career, but his life will go down the gurgler.

Take note Daine, its now or never.

Why the 1 year AVO….that's right ........they just give those out in all cases that go to court....stock standard.... :unamused:

Why haven't Penrith done what you suggest Bug....it's a fair trek from Parra to Penrirh.....

It's OK to lay into the Club for not doing right by Daine?....seriously?

How many other players in our squad should get Special treatment? Benji not included....

Bryce Gibbs lives in Campbelltown. So did Gallant. Royce Simmons lives out at Penrith. They still made it to training every day. No excuse.
