Probably more the understanding that Nofoaluma is an average club winger, nothing more. Yes he and his manager are happy to inform us he is loyal but that must be accompanied with more cash. Sorry but he can be on his way.

Average club wingers dont lead the meters gained each week,if we where to lose him who will do the "dirty" hit ups from deep in our half?Nof has his faults but his value to our team is a definate positive. He is the clubs current leading try scorer and should become the clubs all time try scorer this year.

A good young wing prospect could have a positive impact on our team but do so with just as much strength, considerably faster and at a much more reasonable price. This would allow us to identify and sign a junior replacement.

Paws, I really do admire your support for the youth but in the NRL you really need hard experienced players, while bringing the youth up to speed.
We are in the doldrums of success which we need get out of, imo.

Paying big dollars for club wingers won't get you out of the doldrums. I believe it will ensure that you stay grounded in that state. Brett Morris at 30 odd offers more. I sat many years ago and watched both as young players and we all believed both he and his brother were and still are outstanding players. We also agree Nofoaluma is a good club winger but nothing more.

Yes, I agree that Freddy Fittler should be the judge of whether someone is a good player or not. Gutho is a great centre. Paul Vaughan is the best prop in the game (2019 selection I know).

Why use hyperbole to make your point? There have been other SOO coaches and he hasn't been selected. Why? Not good enough.

It's just a silly argument that we judge someone is solely judged by whether they play origin. Don't like him? Say why instead of depending Freddy's or Laurie's opinion.

Players improve every season, I hope Nofo gets his defensive issues in check, but kids definitely won’t get us out of it either and to be honest I don’t think it is fair to them.

It's not a matter of liking or disliking him. He for what he brings is imo on overs. Brett Morris offers more at the Roosters but I suspect the Roosters aren't paying him what Nofoaluma receives. Maybe that is a benchmark Hartigan uses?

Out of curiosity, what does Brett offer more? He certainly looks good scoring those tries but doesnt everyone at the Roosters and Storm?

He brings with him experience as both a former Australian and SOO rep. He maintains his place at his age in a very strong team. With that team keen to continue his career is an indication of how valued he has become at that club. The Morris bros are fierce competitors, with the advantage of being tall and strong in the air. Brett still maintains good pace, finishing and is. a strong defender. I suspect also both bros represent good value for money. Also he doesn't seem to keen to want his manager play out his contract negs. in the media. Select or remove attributes as applicable to Nofoaluma.

I think the only parts of this I can agree with on is managers and defence, I definitely remember some awesome run downs by both morris twins. In re to managers the Morris twins haven’t been in a situation where they needed one imo.

Nofa is a fierce competitor, actually his our most competitive, his got pace, his got awesome finishing (anyone remember that try where he kicked the ball to himself while in midair outside the sideline? I cant remember which game that was but if anyone can remember let me know)
He just needs to stop rushing in on defence ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

EDIT: Boyd brings SOO experience too would we rate him?

I think the reasons Freddy gave for choosing Foxx and Tupou over David were valid.

I think it was reasonable for Tupou and JAC to play SOO but I thought it smelt like a steaming pile that Nofo didn't get a run in the train-on side.

I actually don't mind Freddy but his selections this year were astonishing and it didn't surprise me NSW lost.

We each have different views on players. Brett Morris is a former Kangaroo and SOO rep while Nofoaluma is not. My view is the Morris boys are far superior to Nofoaluma and always were. Both were produced from a very strong RL nursery, the Illawarra, which counts for something in calculations.

Actually no your right, him not being included in training even was a bit much, specially being Dally M winger of the year and being picked in the annual team of the year (something JAC didnt get, altho he does so well consistently its hard to rate the guy for more at this point)
