Some clear agendas from a few posters on Nofa. Very predictable and disrespectful to our player of the year.

The good thing is regardless of the hate for him by a minority, Madge rates him very very highly and as others have mentioned our offer will be very competitive. If he leaves, it will be because some club has offered silly money.

If he wants a pay rise he has got to take his game to a new level and that means SOO. He had his best year in attack, his defence was poor. He didn't make it to SOO and from what I heard wasn't close.

Last year he took his game to a new level. I'm not going to pretend to know what he's currently on, but he's improved since he was last up for contract negotiations so it seems plausible he should get a pay rise.

Any winger would be ordinary in defence with the likes of Benji and Garner inside them.

You cannot blame the players around him for his poor reading of defensive situations particularly coming in and leaving his opponent unmarked when he needed to have confidence in his centre.

No, it’s an easy cop out to blame someone else.
I’ve seen BJ shake his head on a couple of occasions While looking in his direction.

Yes I can. He shouldn't need to run in if he has confidence in his inside men. Clearly he didn't, and quite rightly because Benji in particular was a turnstyle.

When your numbered up correctly but he still insists on running in, it is a huge issue.

The Wests Tigers could lose winger David Nofoaluma amid reports he will consider shifting to a Sydney rival as he chases a pay rise.

Nofoaluma comes off-contract at the end of next year and would command significant interest on the open market after a strong 2020 season.

The Daily Telegraph reports Parramatta are a likely suitor for the 27-year-old who could command as much as $450,000 a season on the open market.

Nofoaluma has a relationship with Eels coach Brad Arthur and considered joining teammate Mitchell Moses as a replacement for Semi Radradra in 2017.

The Eels have Blake Ferguson coming off contract at the end of 20201

It is understood the Tigers have tabled a three-year offer to Nofoaluma but have yet to secure his signature.

Crikey if he wants $450K .. give it to him .. how much is Parra offering ..?? not worth top dollar though, 550 max.

Come on guys, be more onto it. These types of articles are plants by managers to achieve certain negotiation positions. Our club won't fall for these tricks anymore.

Back in 2017 people on here were blaming Moses and Naiqama, today it's Garner and Marshall. Doesn't matter who plays alongside him, it's their fault, never his. Even though he's the only constant..

Winds of change. If he does move on, it is exciting because it will open up a position for a young player. We've invested heavily in youth, it is the realisaton it's time to use it and not be suckered into Ayoub's bidding tactic.

He rushes up for the glory , intercept a lot . Only a decent half will hit the winger, or the centre for the easy tap on / draw and pass like 7/10 times . But because he gets the intercept and it’s all amazing, we all get blinded by it .
He’s gotten much better at picking his timing. I don’t know what the answer is I guess . To me , if it’s an intercept or ? a try , no matter what you do , go for the intercept as it’s no harm no foul.
The big one is , the 4 on 4 , block play that if you just slid onto your man, and stayed engaged with the lead runners , you’d shutdown every time . Those are the ones I think we all find infuriating .

This is exactly it. He tries to fix everything himself, rush out and take the intercept or shut the whole play down himself. It’s very easy to take advantage of if you’re a quality half/centre.

If he does go I just hope we don't look at mansour as the option, like someone else mentioned, I'd rather invest in youth and give them a full season at it.

If true, take the money Noffa.Tigers shouldn’t match that if smart.

No thats what Noffa wants allegedly

Am I right that there is a "Veterans" or "Long Service" allowance for players that have played for the team 8 years or more? Also, is this something like $250,000 goes towards them OR possibly a Development contract?

@400 to 450K - Give him what he is asking.

Nofo Is a wholehearted Tiger

This is realistic especially compared to the rubbish players that have earnt more at this club and others in recent History.

Its such a no brainer to me

Honestly if we refused to give him up in the player swap for JAC, then miss out on JAC, then lose nofa and gain Mansour or Ferguson the whole front office should be walked

Both JAC and Koroibete were very ordinary defenders when they were here, when they went to Melbourne they miraculously improved.

Did they suddenly read numbers better or was it the players inside them that helped their cause?

At least 4 or 5 of nofas try causes should be given to BJ that's for sure. And at least 50% of previous years to Esan

$450k is pretty reasonable...... I thought he was on around that already

The 450k number comes from a clueless idiot who works for the telecrap, largely referencing an article from 4 years ago. What a Muppet

Spot on, I would suggest going off the Parra $450k for next year, that he was on $400k currently, maybe a little less. And the buying in to Brad Arthur's plan, were quotes from his last contract negotiation.

By the time the attack is out to Nofo, its already all over in my opinion. These issues dont stem from whoever is standing next to him either. They came from the ruck.

Our 6 and 7 dont stand wide enough because they cant trust the opposition, when turned back in, will be covered by our forwards. Its been going for years. So by the time the ball is 3 off the ruck going to Nofo, the play has already been won. poor bloke cant win.

Tighten up those edge forwards ( as in high percentage tackle success) and the ball wont get out there.

Just my opinion, and a different one.
