Noffa definitely ran over a few people’s dogs, The hate is quite irrational. To some, it matches the dribble people used to go on about with JT

Probably more the understanding that Nofoaluma is an average club winger, nothing more. Yes he and his manager are happy to inform us he is loyal but that must be accompanied with more cash. Sorry but he can be on his way.

Average club winger? Can you name a better ball running winger who breaks more tackles in the competition?

How many SOO games has he played = 0. The reason is he is not good enough. I like to believe I am a fair judge and not blinded by the fact he plays for WTs.. We can find good replacements from within WTs which is the way it should be.

Why is that people keep judging players on SOO appearances. Yes there are the elite that play SOO every year but man there have been some real plodders that have played SOO just because of the team they were in.

Nofo can play. He is great for us. He'd be even better with some better players across the park. I really hope he stays.

We still can't get into we have to keep him at all costs mentality. Loyalty to me is about these players signing early and for fair money. That keeps them out of the lime light and allows them to focus on their careers. It allows us to build a team. I'm not talking about underpaying these guys. It's just that not every player can get marquee player dollars. Nofo shouldn't be getting silly money.

He will realise the market for him is cool, perception he’s a defensive liability goes against him

Nofa is fast over 20 metres. Any more than that and he’s pretty average for a winger. Watch his intercept try round 2 vs knights, looked like he was running in sand, forwards stayed level with him and Pearce caught up easy at the end

I just want to do a quick comment about this, all of nrl is about sprint speed vs fatigue. There is no such thing as sustained running stats in the NRL. Saying a player is only fast for 20 metres is a weird statement to make, I can get to my fridge super quick too 🤷‍♂️

Nofoaluma's manager is obviously working towards a contract increase for his client. If awarded, that would put him into elite $ for a winger as his current contract from what is written on this forum is generous. He's not an SOO winger so elite $?

WT have employed a specialist cap analyst to ensure that contract values are consistent with the club’s objectives. I would imagine the offer to Nofa was issued with considered advice.
I realise many posters want to ignore our analysts advice based on Nofa’s sidestep, his 17 tries, his loyalty, his likability, and such.
Just doesn’t make sense that we should get a guard dog then do the barking?

When the dogs are barking “give Nofa $550k” there is definitely no consideration given to the 20 tries he let in.

He's got to take his game to a new level including solid defence and consistent SOO selection to earn a rise.

Nofa has to sidestep Hartigan if he wants a upgrade.

Boyd at his peak was amazing. There was a time when no one executed a 3 on 3 or a 4 on 4 better than Boyd.

So happy to see Nofo front and centre if the COE Video

https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2020/11/28/construction-begins-on-wests-tigers-centre-of-excellence/

He is our most recognisable player and I would love to make sure he is a Tiger for life

dont get it

Anyone who says nof is solely responsible for letting in tries is clueless. Whole career at the tigers he hasn’t had one decent defensive centre beside him and defending on the edges is all about defending as a group and the defensive structure set by the coaching staff.

I would've like to see nofa slip into fullback in 2020.Not saying he'd kill it but roaming around
as extra man and he's hard to tackle. It'd show he worth IMO

fullback would take away the defensive reads for him

Exactly.....Inside him hasn't been great though in his defence

I'd say @TigerWest was suggesting you could gift him a large tpa. You could be our uncle nick...

Love Nofo, he had one of his best years if not best but, I'd be giving him a take it or leave it offer, I'd call his bluff because I think he's fishing for more money from us and has no intention of leaving.
Give him a figure, if he can find more elsewhere good luck to him, see ya later
