Cotric on $600k is silly overs.
Mansour is not playing as well as Nofo and is 4 years older. He's rumored to be on $550k + which is way overs - why would we even consider that swap?

If any manager asks $685k for a winger they're kidding themselves and rapidly stroking their client.
I believe Nofo's ceiling is about $525k and hopefully he qualifies for loyalty discount to accommodate some of it. $475K would be value.

What if taking Mansour came with Laurie this year..

Problem is Mansour wants 3 years...

He might want..

I want a Ferrari for Chrismas...

I think I’d rather have Nofa than Cotric but the fact he hasn’t been picked for origin means he probably can’t expect the same offer.

There’s origin and also finals footy. Half a million bucks is a lot of money for someone whose only ever played in Mickey Mouse games. Even the Samoa games, while entertaining, are basically exhibition games.

I would pass and wait the 12 months.

Mansours contract is an absolute shocker and I would be quite happy if we (and every other club) let him stay at the panthers.

Really give their salary cap a squeeze.

People seem to forget that Nof only agreed to stay last time because we paid him overs. Yes he's passionate about the club but he's also led by money, like most players. If he'd have stayed for less money than Parra offered then yes we could say his passion is bigger than his wallet...

He's so loyal, as long as you pay him the $. He's on more than he is worth to us now. I have no issue with him seeking a better contract elsewhere but wish he and his manager would skip the bs about loyalty and the PR articles in the Telegraph.

Nof should be eligible for the veteran's allowance. After this season he has been in our system for 10 years (played NYC in 2011).

But that is money which could be better spent contracting our best young players and buying mire good youth.

I think it's pretty obvious why his manager is trying to manipulate the situation.

Some clear agendas from a few posters on Nofa. Very predictable and disrespectful to our player of the year.

The good thing is regardless of the hate for him by a minority, Madge rates him very very highly and as others have mentioned our offer will be very competitive. If he leaves, it will be because some club has offered silly money.

I think with Naden likely to miss a fair bit of the season, Penrith is not letting any backs go at this stage.

If he wants a pay rise he has got to take his game to a new level and that means SOO. He had his best year in attack, his defence was poor. He didn't make it to SOO and from what I heard wasn't close.

Sorry but I don't agree with that. A player's value to a club should not be determined by how others (the SOO selection committee) value the player relative to others, but by how the club values the player. Is Brenko Lee a more valuable player than Nofo because he wore a SOO jersey this year?

If he wants that he can go elsewhere.
Gets out jumped by almost every winger playing in the NRL
550 absolute max.
I’m a massive fan of the bloke, but that is stupid money for a winger yet to play any representative footy.

Managing the cap is so important for so many reasons. In my opinion the Storm have been very good at managing the cap.. 😂 no I’m serious. Look at their player coach? He’s on only $800k , but also gets the vets allowance and all of the car allowance. Can you imagine other players asking for close to that? Ok, sure Harry is, but his intention is to replace Smith and enjoy the same benefits.
