David Nofoaluma

Thought I'd take a look at Nofoaluma's stats so far this season:

Round 1 - 88 metres in attack, 3 tackle breaks, 13 tackles, 1 error

Round 2 - 169 metres in attack, 12 tackle breaks, 5 tackles, 2 linebreaks, 2 errors

Round 3 - 215 metres in attack, 8 tackle breaks, 9 tackles, 2 linebreaks, 1 try

Round 4 - 193 metres in attack, 16 tackle breaks, 6 tackles, 2 offloads, 1 try

Round 5 - 125 metres in attack, 15 tackle breaks, 12 tackles, 1 offload, 1 linebreak, 1 error

Round 6 - 192 metres in attack, 16 tackle breaks, 1 tackle, 4 offloads, 2 linebreaks, 1 error, 1 try

Round 7 - 141 metres in attack, 17 tackle breaks, 4 tackles, 2 linebreaks, 1 error, 2 tries

What is really phenomenal is the amount of tackle breaks he manages to come up with in each game. He consistently breaks twice the number of tackles as the next best behind him.

I hope Sheens is keeping a very close eye on David and Marika Koroibete. Both of these boys should be pushing for FG next year the way they are carving up at the moment.

To have that many tackle breaks and line breaks he surely must cover himself with spiders before every game…

Christ, imagine if they (Nofoaluma and Koro)had have been in the team since round 1.....

Reading RLW today the mole stated David had a number of teams seeking him and although we were trying to keep him it may be hard.

Depends what sort of coin they are prepared to pay in comparison to the Tigers, and the liklihood of him playing FG. I hope the Tigers keep him, he's definitely a future first grader and a damn good one IMO.

x 2 willow, have seen this guy play a number of games and he has impressed every time. big, speedy winger he is f/g now

Those tackle break stats are ridiculous, obviously in 1st grade he won't get such high numbers but it's a great indication. He can play fullback and centre as well so a great player to have in any squad. I was hoping he would have replaced tedesco after the injury but things haven't worked that way.

I like David as a player and we should keep him but for mine I would have Marika Koroibete on the wing in the NRL before David. I think both will be very good players.

no doubt he is high quality. would love to keep him. as i said else where I reckon it will be one or the other with him and Korobete…cant see us keeping both, i dont mind which we keep, both excellent players

Wests Tigers don't seem to be in a hurry to resign David.

Is this based on anything?

Apparently he had a chance to train with first grade over the summer but didnt turn up / was late? May have concerns re his attitude.

As much as I like Koroibete, Nofoaluma seems a much more rounded footballer. Koro is a damaging runner, but Nofo has a little more well rounded game.

Disappointing to hear. I think the Tigers will be kicking themselves in a couple of years if they don't re-sign him.

You might find once either or both make a commitment to the Tigers for the future Sheens wil lthen look at giving them a taste of first grade

Based on him and Tedesco having the same manager and initially both players had contracts that finished at the end of 2012\. They quickly signed Tedesco for a few more years back in January as well as recently Sirro being resigned but David is still waiting for whatever reason I don't know just doesn't seem the same urgency to resign him.
