Daylight Saving

Daylight Saving will start at 2am on Sunday October 5.

That means at 2am, your clock will jump forward to 3am AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

Most clocks linked to technology such as smart phones, computers, and TVs will automatically adjust to their relevant time zones.

But analogue clocks such as the ones on your oven and microwave will most likely need to be manually adjusted.

(In the Australian summer, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT turn their clocks forward one hour to Daylight Saving Time (DST). Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am (AEST) on the first Sunday in October and ends at 3am (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) on the first Sunday in April.)

Daylight saving will end on Sunday, April 5 2026 when clocks are turned back to 2am AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

We don't have it here in Perth, bloody hell the sun gets up early!! Some days are hot before breakfast
I'm weird. Love being in the veggie patch at 4:30 and getting shit done b4 anyone else is up.
Funny thing is I can't stand getting up early in winter. Often roll around on the lounge till 8.

You get used to it. Getting up at 7 in the morning for my run/walk was fine last summer, and I thought once winter hit, I’d have to head out a bit later to avoid the early morning chill. But you’d be surprised how much it’s no big deal to be out in 1 or 2 degrees at 7 in the morning in the dead of winter. I’d rather be out in that than 30 degrees at 8am.
