Yep he has come across as a prima- Donna flog. I would think the Manly club will be worse off for having him around in the years to come than by not having him TBH, these sorta things always go sour.

Honestly after watching his press conference today, I just see an extremely greedy, self-centred, attention seeking individual who has no care in the world for anyone else. I now understand why the majority of the squad at Manly dislike him.

Trying to say that he changed his mind because he wanted to be a "one club player" is so bloody ignorant. He would have had that opportunity regardless. He is a class player and would have been able to resign or sign for any club when ever he wanted. If DCE is searching for job security, I'll fly to the moon and back tomorrow.

It is so obvious that he played his cards right in search for more money. He even said himself that he changed his mind when this new deal was put forward by Manly. Obviously he was happy with the increased dollars and completely destroyed the Gold Coast's plans for more money whilst suggesting otherwise. Feel so sorry fort he Titans and their supporters.

Anyone suggesting that we can't criticise DCE/Manly because Teddy did it couldn't be more wrong IMO.

Teddy turned down more money to stick with his preferred option - staying with his mates in the city he resides.

DCE signed a contract as a bargaining tool to up Manly's offer and make as much money as possible whilst staying where he already was. DCE also waited a long enough period to ensure that the Titan's lost players to accommodate his big money contract and has now destroyed the club in the short to medium term. He continually gave them assurances that he wasn't going to backflip and now this. What a horrible person.

DCE has lost so much credibility over this whole saga and IMO would be a perfect fit for the Manly captaincy.

Honestly every time i see him in that press conference, it makes my blood boil and I don't even support the Titans. I can only imagine how they're feeling right now..

Well really, only a fool would go out cracking open champagne bottles having made a marquee signing so far away from the round 13 deadline. Any player a club signs before round 13 needs to be taken with a grain of salt, especially a marquee signing like DCE.

He continually reassured them that he would be at the Gold Coast in 2016 GNR. He was helping them recruit players so that he could have some input into the club. Based on his word and reassurances they released a player that would be playing in his position to accommodate him. Now they have no one in a vital position.

It's a crap rule but it has been around for a long time now.

In that time only one person has manipulated it the way that DCE has.

He is a self-centred, money hungry individual.

I hope the Titans smash him when they play in round 18.

I think its more of a romantic type of label that the club just threw out, i don't think there's anyway it can be done unless he signed a 10 yr deal. He only signed for 3 yrs.

Blame the NRL, not the club exploiting the loophole. The onus is on the NRL not to allow clubs to use these types of loopholes.

As I said in a following Post Changing his mind is fine…it is within the current rules...the way he went about it calling a 8 man press conference to announce his decision 3 months after signing with the Titans saying he only decided within the last 48hrs smacks of the Prima Dona he is...

Fair enough people are upset with him but any thought that Manly have made the wrong decision by signing someone who would do this is just endless amounts of laughing.
