'De Goyce' and 'Cost-Jason'

I hate of the commentators say Howston and not Houston

You dont say Howston we have a problem, you say Houston we have a problem

You assume that everyone pronounces everything the same. He's not named after the city. Sam Houston may have preferred it pronounced like Hewston but Chris has made it clear he pronounces it Howston. Surely at the end of the day it is up to him.

We don't need the footy to hear Rabs going on and on about pronunciations. I heard him on Triple M a while back going on about whether Justin Bieber should be pronounce Buy-ber or Bee-ber. Is that supposed to be entertaining???

I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful Portuguese daughter-in-law and she tells me that "De Gois" is pronounced 'D'Goysh'. In Portuguese it seems that the final 'S' becomes a 'SHH'. You ought to hear her say "Moises Henriques" - pure poetry!

I'm looking forward to hearing Rabs pronounce this kid's name from the Australian Schooboys team if he gets into the NRL

Matiu Fukofuka

"And charging on the ball is Fukofuka!"

given the obscurity of the reference, i cant believe you beat me to it! I was about to post something similar, I was at the carnival and resorted to be a kid again snickering at this name.
