Dear Adam

i thought blair was ok in patches but he did show plenty of mongrel….beaus shoulder charge was no fluke

some stats dont paint a true picture.....

Forget even comparing Blair to Heighington and Fulton- they aren't in the same class.
Fulton did nothing effective and Heighington did even less.
I'd like to have another two Blairs in front of them.

give him time tigergirlz….its round 3 hes playing with a completely different style team....marshall and farah are on more money and in my opinion are playing like below average first graders....we always do this every year so im not panicking at all we will come good

Well then he needs to show it!

My God what do you expect? its a bit hard when he has no support. Why don't you point the finger at the rest of the forwards

Yeah T4E, you're right. I just expected him to step right into a leadership role with Galloway and Ellis out and I don't think he did.
G4L - he's the one that should have been supporting the young players IMHO

And what makes you think he wasn't? he was trying to lead the pack. He was the only forward along with BMM who stood up to the Dragons

As per usual the forum goes into full blown panic mode after a loss… We had bad losses in 2005, 2010, 2011\. They happen...

As for Blair, expecting him to play like Ellis or Rhino or Liam Fulton is :crazy

The fact he isn't like them is why we bought him. He is an impact player. But his ability to have an impact is influenced by how much momentum the other forwards (particularly the props) give him and what sort of ball our halves give him.

Also he is playing a much different system at the WT than he did at Melbourne. Expecting him to be world class after 3 games in not fair.

Not writing off this season at all. Been a tigers supporter long enough to expect this at the beginning of the season (as disappointing as it is).
I am struggling to understand how a player like Blair works in our team at the moment. If he is an impact player should he be playing 80 minutes (he has played all games at 80 minutes)?
In attack we lose Galloway and Ellis and EVERYONE has to adjust. We have two inexperienced front rowers.
Know I'll get shot down again, but I feel the same about Tuqiri. Think it must be the battler in me but I look for players to give their heart and soul, thats why I like Heighno, Fulton, Ryan etc.

Tigergirls I appreciate wot u admire with the heart and soul, but unfortunately that doesn't equate to dynamic attack and points.. ATM I am rating Fulton to start over rhino.. Faults was good lastnight, but for the role rhino plays needs more size, he always gets SLOW play the balls and momentum often stops when he gets it because he cannot ball play!
Heaps of heart but not enough skill I'm sorry, need someone to be more effective

and fulton dropped some easy passes against manly which cost us.hindmarsh does 50 tackles a match also and half of them are 2nd and 3rd. i wonder how many of the 20 odd tackles blair did were 1 on 1s and he does slow the play the ball down also but plays it really quick when hes tackled…am i imagining that or not

Tiger4ever u r right, Blair gets fast play the balls and through some slick jiu jitzu technique manages to slow the play the ball down very well too

poor bloke… some are expecting him to be "marshall magic" but realistically, his work is very effective. Once our team starts dominating in the middle, then we will see the magic from Blair. For now, I feel he could play tighter either as a 13 or 10.

In our Top 5 last night... why? Because he did his job!!!

We missed Ellis big time tonight. God help us when he goes home. Blair was good tonight. Some of you people are very hard to please.

Not much said about the complete lack of ability from Moltzen and Ayshford.

Moltzen really must get the chop as should Ayshford.

I thought that Bell had a very good game when he came on as did BMM (not given enough time again by Sheens).

Players like Benji and Blair cannot function without forwards doing their job and creating space on the outside. With Galloway and Ellis back and Moltzen replaced, we could go ok. But we do need more speed out wide.
