Dear Buckets

Mark, there is a clear culture problem at the club. It isnt isolated to this years performances and could well and truly go back to 2010 or 2011\. It is deep rooted across all departments and the easy fix wont achieve much.

You need to make the tough calls within the football operations, not for todays team, but tomorrows. You will only have friends when your winning, so dont think those around you now are your friends. We are a rabble on and off the field!

Dont chase Grand Final Glory, its not possible to buy. As you are aware, it comes with well thought out decision making, processes and hard work that takes 2-3 seasons. Woods & Teddy are the only 2 players you MUST retain!

PS - I will give you 1 lead to success. Simona is a Winger at this level. Make it happen!

I just want the best team available to be selected each week and for those 17 that run out in the Tigers jersey to give it 110% effort and commitment. Pretty simple

Simple isn't it,
Pick the best 17 available each week !
Not who the sponsors want or who has built a close friendship with JT, then if we lose and the boys have put in 110% I can accept that. ATM we are losing and we know we have better players watching from the side line. It's just not good enough.

My sentiments are pretty similar to everyone else's .

The only thing I will add is…..

I have been emotionless in our games for a good 4-5 years, if we score? Yeah whatever, when scored against? Yeah whatever.
My Wife can't understand the transformation in me the last 4-5 years, I used to be a raven lunatic screaming at the T.V with the Wife saying to me " they can't hear you ", jumping around like a lunatic when we score.
There used to be a time when the Mrs would ask who are they playing next week? If it was a big game she would say to me you better go and watch it at the Pub Cause I would carry on......and now she thinks I'm a delight when watching the footy.

Give me a team to be proud of, that's all I ask.

The bottom line is we basically have a reserve grade squad of players with a few exceptions. Till we can get a few players and preferably forwards like Beau Scott who will do anything to win and losing is just not a option,we will struggle. In saying that,we need a coach that will pull his head out of the sand and at least give a few players a go when his first choices keep failing to deliver. We also need some good old fashion pride and accountability.

Anyway this out cry happens every year, usually a little latter in the season, and we get all sorts of pledges from the movers and shakers in the club, and nothing ever happens.

When you recruit reserve graders and rejects…what do you expect

That use to be me to getting excited when we scored and hoping we would go on with it. But now when we score it's like, yeah whatever, we will now drop the ball on the next set the opposition will score than they will get a penalty on their next set and score again leaving us tired from all the defense when all we had to do was get through our set after the try and get a good kick chase happening. Same old same old every game

Accountability. Make the coach, staff and players accountable for there performances. Mediocrity should not be accepted. No other club would accept crap like this and continue on as if nothing has happened.

Also, find us some players who want to play, not for the money and fame and the contract upgrade their seeking, players who want to play for the jersey. Sick of these players looking for that big contract extension rather than playing with pride for the club. Give me more Lawrences, Woodsy and Teddy's, players who love the club and would do anything for it.

Mark,I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan,Pascoes assistant,he was an absolute gentleman and salt of the earth person with no airs or graces…the one thing that stood out for me at the after party when we played the Sharks was some of the players that I walked past and said hello to,the younger ones didn't reply back, just looked and falsely smiled, would it have been too much to say hello thanks for coming as Arron Woods did...to me it showed absolute signs of arrogance, and this to me may explain why the team is where it is at...some think they are well above ordinary people such as myself and others because they are in the NRL squad....let me assure you they have nothing to be arrogant about, their characters shine through their game and this club is suffering because of it....they need to learn not just NRL but about life itself...if you want respect...EARN it......

I believe that Buckets is a myth, as Football Manager, he should have been at the Canberra game, and tore the players a new one behind closed doors before they got their pizza and beer.
The players should have travelled home ashamed of their performance, as I was ashamed of their effort when I turned the Tele off

Its funny I am the same, a few years ago a Tigers game was a emotional roller coaster ride, highs, lows, screaming, shouting and the odd bit of laughter, now Iam still very interested but I have taken a lot of the emotion out of it because I came immured to disappointment

It's like we as fans have learnt to accept that we are just a " Mediocre side " and been brain washed to think that the kids we have invested on will be the next big thing.

You know why we have been brainwashed with all this Potential on these kids? Cause of our Salary Cap issues, it's what we can afford and it's a perfect excuse that takes the heat away from not being able to afford the X-factor type players…..it's all we can afford.

What a shame in a round of football dedicated to remembering and honoring courage and sacrifice, we didn't show any.

If players can't get up for an ANZAC clash there is something seriously wrong.
The most worrying thing here is these sort of losses usually happen at the back end of a season when all hope is lost. One can only imagine what is ahead for the rest of the year

I'm tired of the club being punch line. They have zero respect in the average league suppprters eye. Every yr it's left to us internally on this forum to talk the team up and go into the new season full of optimisim, only to look like idiots halfway through the yr when the team starts to dog it. And yes they dogged it the other night, and that isn't on the coach, despite how out of his depth he might be.

Also buckets if you truly do read this Forum?

Can you tell the players that after a loss it's not a very good look to see our players mingling in talking and laughing on the middle of the field with opposition players like there's no care factor to loosing the game.

It absolutely makes me mad, at least do it up the tunnel where I don't have to witness there non care factor about them…...It seriously not a good look.

If this mob dumps Taylor for Payten, that'll do me.

The gang is getting back together.
They'll even offer Heighno a one year deal to return :brick:

This team is meant to be the Wests - Tigers.
Not the Concord kittens. :unamused: Enough said.
**No Claw
No Roar**

Your post for some reason made me  especially the bit about getting send to the pub to watch the game.
