Defence

Those who think Taylor should not be making defence a priority should be watching the parra v cowboys game.

Omg.

There isnt one person on the forum who doesnt think Taylor should be making defense a priority.

How many times do people have top keep saying this to you guys before it bloody sinks in.

The Taylor defenders willl latch onto anything. Cows have scored 4 tries off kicks.

I wonder how the get down parras end to get the kicks in???

End of the day Parra have given the Cows a real game, would we be capable of doing that?

So Parra lost by 6 v Cowboys, tigers lost by 6 v Cowboys and were only down by 2 with 2 to go - So yes we would

Can't imagine it is a kick return followed by four one out plays and an attacking kick 😕

You guys are unbelievable.. if tigers were up 30 zip then lost you would be all on here with your nails out…

Now your saying it's a good game.

You lot have no idea what you actually want.

The impressive thing about tonight's game for me is….both sides were hard in defence, but they also threw the ball around and it was an enjoyable game of rugby league.....

A combination of both attack and defense...very enjoyable, good to see it is still around......

A real game? I'm as negative as anyone but the Cowboys were terrible apart from 10 minutes. In 10 minutes they blew open the game. That was a joke and embarrassing, and we've had those moments this year (Raiders, Bulldogs).

On the contrary, I/we know exactly what we want, and TT expressed it right below your above post. I would much rather watching us get run down in games, just like we did against the dogs and raiders, when the alternative is the absolute bloody crap Taylorball has dished up over the past month or so.

Are you serious??

We played them without Thurston, Scott, Tamou and Morgan.

They would have put 30 on us

Jack Granville has to be close to pound for pound the best hitter in the comp

He smashed Watmong ,then Radradra and then Wicks

Just picked them up and flogged them

And you would be on here bagging the club in that situation too.

So it's lose lose with you lot.

Your not going to be on here saying well played lads after a lose like that.

I think it is about the quality of the opposition and the quality of our teams performance. Most people founds positives out of the Dogs game when we got run down. Most people were scathing after losing a 22 point lead to Canberra at Leichhardt.

For instance if we had a 24 point lead against the Chooks and got run down people would find plenty of positives. Its just looking objectively at the overall quality of the teams performance. The thing for me is there have been very little positives in attack and defence the past 4 rounds so do call it a lose / lose is being a little over the top.

Taylor continually talks about working on defence and the need to improve it, why is taking so long to improve defence when it has been the focus for so long. Against the Titans Wests Tigers continued to leak points out wide on the left, two tries clearly, the last also resulted from an overlap through the same area and probably just as concerning was their first try which was straight through the ruck. OK I am sure most will agree on the importance of defence and Taylor keeps talking about it, the time has come for some positive results in our defensive line particularly on the left edge. I know we have suffered injuries and probably lack quality replacements but surely the defensive coach and Taylor can do better given they are coaches.

Well I think the whole point of the boring attack is to stop games like parra just had from happening. Like us v dogs and Canberra. Like most on here I've been a wt fan for some time and I'm sick of having that feeling 24 points is not enough for us to win a game. It's not going to happen to a Melbourne team. I'm sick of the heart attack footy. So if Taylor claims he can get us there in a season of two good on him. We got nothing to lose. I'm glad we trying something different.

On another note pauli pauli really on outer at parra. Coach there really stuffing up his career. Came on last 20 mins I thought you could tell he didn't want to be there.

Claims being the key word

Taylor was very smart. He saw we are last in defence so he knew you can not do any worse then that. No doubt he has tried desperately to improve this. However he has also used this ad nauseum to deflect the media heat.

Hence he can continue to say he has improved it and is taking the team forward when in reality the team is probably playing the weakest overall football in the competition.

you watch the game closely you see through the spin.

Good attack won the game for the Cowboys.
Poor defence lost the game for Parra.
Very entertaining. Loved it.
