The irony of Shazza not wanting to sign for WT until he knew who the coach was going to be next year, signs with dogs and doesn't know who his coach will be next year

Spot on. The Dogs will be a stronger club next year without Des being there, they had become stale under him.
Absolutely, they don't take mediocrity for long, they do something about it.
@ said:Also did you read apparently the Des Hasler contract extension for 2018+ was non-binding? I look forward to the court battle.

How was it non binding?

Supposedly signed a heads of agreement and not a contract.

With the salary cap situation, i doubt it. Their roster looks average. If their cap clears up for 2019, they might be back if they enter the player market.
I agree. They've swapped Reynolds for Foran. A slight upgrade maybe but Foran's 2017 wasn't great.
They've swapped Graham and Kasiano for Woods. At best a push. Woods is an excellent prop but they've given up a lot.
More to the point they've given up two of their heart and soul players. Plus maybe more losses to come. They' went poorly this year and would need to lift to make an impact next year.
But, but its the Bulldogs, they don't stay down for too long.
The smart money if anyone looks past that nonsense and actually looks at their roster is that they are in for a tough year next year. After that, it depends on who they can afford on the market. They have the spine of a paramecium.

Ah OK, cheers.

Might be short a couple of players next year to make a real impact, but like others dont think they will be down for long, if at all.
