Disgrace - Origin Draw

SO we have not made the finals for going on 5 seasons. Were a club battling for every win. Taylor needs wins to save his job, club needs wins to keep the fans interested etc etc.

We come to a point in the season where we are still in the mix. 2 or 3 wins a row and we can enter this Top 8 with some confidence. Teams Like the Warriors, Titans, Dragons, Penrith, I think we can bet better then them and come over the top of them.

Yet here we are facing a season defining game against Canterbury with probably no Woods, no Farah and no Tedesco. So our of our bigger matches for the last 5 seasons and a dead rubber Origin means our best sit out. We miss players in 2 key positions. Chance of building further confidence and momentum gone?

Look I know Canterbury have some out (Klemmer, Jackson) however we are weaker off then them. I know we are hardly the only club affected. However look at the Warriors and how they get a free pass these 6 weeks during Origin, we are in contention with them for the Top 8, every 2 points is vital?? Dragons played a weak Storm and Cows during Origin, almost like 4 free points, again a team right in the same race we are in.

I just think this is a joke and other elite competitions would laugh at the NRL. The clubs pay these players and rely on winning games to keep the money flowing. Yet after a good win last night we now face putting out our fringe playrs giving us way less chance against the Bulldogs.

Hello , this is Soo time .
It actually has happened to many clubs over time , and will happen again next week to others as well. No complaints when we played the Bronks with half of their pack out, plus some backs as well.
It's the price of having a champion player.
We could always be like Newcastle and have all our players available.

Im not saying we are the worst off. However its annoying when you have to play a strong club like Canterbury, who are less worse off then ourselves. With Tedesco, Woods and Farah I think we could have beaten them this time round an gone on a run of 3 or 4 wins.

There has been too much media pressure.

Its not just Tigers fans its the whole media demanding it.

I think he will be there, would not surprise me though if Daley did something stupid like play him on the wing.

If Teddy isn't picked at fullback then he shouldn't play in a dead rubber.

I don't have any inside info on this , but I think he will miss out altogether or be 18th man

NSW have struggled for a consistent halves pairing for a long time. If Brooks and Moses live up to their potential, the Blues team might just be the Wests Tigers in the near future - we'll struggle then!

sounding more likely that tedesco will be picked for ferguson and play on the wing. This would nullify everything good about him, and leave us without our best back and best forward against the dogs. On the other side, if he doesnt get picked then you will have succesfull teams using it as bait when tedesco is off contract. that he would more likely play state of origin with a succesfull team.

Teams with origin .players are usually found towards the pointy end of the comp when the season nears it's end. Stop the whining.

I've never heard anyone say it was fair though. The fact that we don't play ALL teams twice is a bigger problem than Origin.

People have whinged for years that our players get overlooked for rep because they are Tigers yet when a few bust through for selection we are hard done by as we miss key players in the competition rounds….

Newsflash! Clubs like the Broncs have had to put up with this for decades and they always deal with it and cover for it. Now we have possibly three reps, it's about time this place steps up and the depth players earn their dough.
