Novax apparently knowingly did the wrong thing by 'supposedly' allowing one of his managers to fill out his exemption form.
Yeh righto...what a lot of bull imo.
If the dummy cant take responsibility for filling out the 'important' paperwork and then blaming his manager for the incorrect/untruthful information, that should be enough to have him booted out of Oz.
If someone gets stopped with a bag full of drugs trying to get into Oz and they try the... I didnt pack my bag so I know nothing about the drugs story...sorry but you are in big trouble.
It's called personal responsibility and he has shown us he is a liar and a 'dill brain' imo.

Correct me if I'm wrong but He wasn't gaining any benefit by not declaring that he went to Spain or wherever. Bringing drugs into a country and not declaring that you went to a country (which as far as I'm aware has no restrictions) are not comparable at all.

The disease can kill you so yes, I put him the same boat as a murderer. Should go to gaol at Parklea with Haynesy

What a ludicrous post. Sums this up...

Ludicrous alright. He does not have the virus, has already had it so antibodies galore. He is tested everyday. So no threat to anybody. Grow a brain before opening your mouth.

**Policy:** double vaxxed.

Is he double vaxxed? No.

Off you go Novak you knob.

Oh there’s a policy? The delicate genius has a policy

Is that you Novak? Glad to hear your a Tigers supporter. Shame you’re a knob.

Not a Seinfeld fan I see.

Lol, no, not really.

He's been a laughing stock for months, years. Every week another disaster. He's a joke, his government is a joke. They just keep failing and embarassing themselves.

There is no successful decision here. He loses both ways...

Can only hope that it's a Blockbuster that doesn't feature the jerk pictured to the left of Ash Barty.

Shame it'll still feature the tosser to her right though.

I like Kyrgios, yes his brash in interviews and a bit reckless but he plays entertaining tennis. He’ll never win a major as he doesn’t have the temperament but he doesn’t really care to.

Tomic 2

Tomic had tennis ability but was very unlikable on and off the court. Kyrgios has personality and is a likeable guy at times. He has a presence on the court that brings young people to the game. He does a lot of good off the court as well. He plays tennis as his job and doesn’t have ambitions to be the best he just wants to do his job and get paid.

I reckon he is every bit the moron Mundine is.

My daughter has worked with Nick on a photoshoot, she was never a fan of his, but after meeting him she was so impressed by him, he was an absolute gentleman even to the extent that he was helping move the props around for them. He is a showman on the court, that is his persona. Off the court, away from the limelight, he appears to be just a regular bloke never in the media for bad reasons and enjoys being with his family.

Heard the same from some one who works in the media, behind cameras within tennis Australia.

I like him, he isn't a banker to the extent of ... Conor McGregor... but does bring some flavour to what most would consider, a bland sport.

Not me, I love tennis.

Not that simple. Tennis Australia went out of their way to welcome the mental genius. I'm more than willing to blame the government but it isn't their fault. They have been pretty incompetent though and they should have jumped on this harder earlier.

At least they've done the right thing though and they should be given credit. If no you are taking a political position based on who someone is rather than what they are doing,. I don't agree with that.

Djokovic deportation 'inevitable': source
Darren Walton 6 hrs ago
|
Novak Djokovic was doomed even before he won his Federal Circuit Court case against deportation from Australia. t's the belief of an ex-Australian Border Force official, who rightly tipped a week ago that Immigration Minister Alex Hawke would revoke Djokovic's visa.

"My mail is that regardless of the court result, Djokovic will still be deported," the source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AAP on January 7. The former ABF officer said Djokovic being "such a vocal anti-vaxxer" ultimately led to the world No.1's downfall, and posting on social media last week that he was coming to Australia with a "special exemption" was the final straw. "That was like raising a red flag to a bull to the (Australian) government," the source told AAP. "He's made such a big song and dance. When this pandemic first kicked off, he was partying at his own tournament shirtless on stage with other players.

"The bottom line is you need to be fully vaccinated to get into the country, unless you've got exemptions from certain things, and he hasn't. "He's the world No.1 but because he's such a vocal anti-vaxxer, that's why he got looked at and why initially his visa got rejected."

Many have questioned how Djokovic was allowed to board a flight to Australia without the necessary visa. "When you apply for a visa overseas, you get online and it's pretty much tick and flick. Australia doesn't have Border Force officers at every port around the world," the ex-officer said."We don't have the resources. It's impractical and it's not viable."So there's background checks done, they go through a process and ... you pop up in a database if you're a criminal or if you've got criminal history, you get looked at closely.

"Clearly Novak's not a criminal - we all know that. But because he's drawn so much attention to himself, that's what made him a target." The former Border Force official said Djokovic was "quite likely going to get a three-year ban" from entering Australia. "If your visa gets cancelled, especially if the immigration minister cancels your visa, it's automatic that you get a three-year ban," he said.

Under Australian law, anyone expelled from the country for three years following an adverse decision under section 133C(3), can apply for a waiver under "compelling" or "compassionate" circumstances.

Djokovic isn't giving up his fight to remain in Melbourne and contest the Australian Open, with legal action planned for the weekend.

That’s the impression I get of him as well. I understand he rubs some people the wrong way but when you listen to the heart of what he has to say he just wants to help people and be with his family.

He already has an injunction but the hearing of the review of the decision will be expedited and he won't necessarily succeed in the review. If he loses the review he will then immediately appeal and seek a further injunction which he will only get if the full bench of the Federal Court think there is merit in his appeal.

Challenging a decision by a Minister with a very broad discretion is not easy. It's not just a matter of whether the Court would have made a different decision, it needs to be established that (in this case) the decision made by the Minister was "irrational" or that "no reasonable person acting reasonably" could have made it. Judges don't make those calls lightly - at least most of them respect the separation of powers and appreciate that these are decisions made by elected officials who are accountable through the general election process. Judges are not there to overcall Ministers just because they don't agree with them.

I hope you are right. I also hope they ban him for 3 years. We don't what people like that in our country.

Djokovic lawyers got their way just now, with the three judge panel convening at 9:30 tomorrow morning.

Some mightn't agree, but the law should decide such matters over that of a single person making an arbitrary decision. Else we are a mini dictatorship.

I completely disagree. Allowing him to get special treatment yet again is wrong. The government is doing the right thing.

It's not an arbitrary decision either. Get vaccinated or don't come to Australia. Don't play games with our rules.

If this was the Labour government in charge I bet you'd be supportive. That is why I'm not political. You should support what is right rather than what party is making decisions.

What a ludicrous post. Sums this up...

What is ludicrous is taking the most extreme opinion in the thread & saying "it sums it up" for you

The political climate... Not defending Novak in any way so what’s up your arse ?

Wasn’t serving anybody but you asked for it and going off your clearly premature conclusion around my comment, can’t take it in return?

Hahaha settle petal
Now. I see why you had a go at me in another thread.
Pretty petty

He compared the bloke and situation to a convicted rapist that previously played NRL... if you can’t see how these two things are not the same.. and understand me calling that out as ludicrous, then you honestly shouldn’t type dude.

Not trying to disrespect you in any other thread or try to get this going but you’re not correct in defending that. Simple as bud
