Hey,
One of my friends from the area who has a cousin that works in the NRL sent me this earlier.

I kindly ask everyone here NOT to share it fir that reason and keep it between ourselves. I don't want to get him or anyone else in trouble.

The reason I am sharing is what this indicates is a grave situation for next years top 30 and shows why we are desperate to offload senior/bigger money players like Bateman, Olam, Naden, sullvan etc.

My first thought is how accurate is it? it seems a bit skewed to some positions. does chris fagaatu really have a top 30 contract?

If this is to be believed, we are at our top 30 limit and cant really recruit anyone else, but if that was the case why would we leave the last spot for Jarule Skelton and not a prop? We would have to terminate Seizer, who is a sick backup half, to fit him in. Also some serious deadweight in terms of depth.

Not sure what’s to share , but I can’t believe that some of the above have contracts for next year , I could cut at lease 9 , but what gets me is how the hell they were ever thought that they could become 1st grade players

I don’t know why you’re worried about sharing it, you can google our shite roster and that table comes up.
I have pointed this issue out in another thread.
What is the go with Matamua?
We don’t need Sezer, unless we get rid of bud, and we need to pay Tumeth out asap. But yeah it’s 30 depending on what Matamuas situation is.

That shows how much we are over paying players.
True values are;
Bateman 300k
Bula 500k
Latu Fainu 300k
Samuela Fainu 400k
Klemmer 400k
Korisau 500k
Naden 200k
Sullivan 250k
Turuva 350k
Twal 350k

That is 1.9 million over spent right there.

This is literally copied and pasted off zero tackle

The Matamua section has the "[" hyperlink that opens an article.

The misspellings added for extra effect.
Thanks for the heads up on that stupid link thing? How did you know it was a bloody link. I’ve looked at that a 100 times wondering what the hell was going on with it. Or am I so old now I can’t use a computer? Turns out it’s all linked to the media blurb of the players contract, pretty handy.
Anyway that seals it then, yes we bought a winger to fill our last spot and we only have one leading NRL prop.
We need to payout 2 of Tumeth, Sukkar, Matamua, or Naden, and let Sezer and Alaimolo go. That’d free up four spots, sign Sione leaving 3 for external NRL players.
Also I still need my Pole extended.

I looked at zero tackle the other day and wondered what the "]" was... thus is full copy and paste. LOL

Strange thread.

Fkn scary uleh.
Bateman isnt worth 650 and I watch England, he wasnt in crash hot form for Wigan after the raiders.
That said, if we offered him 300 he'd laugh at us as others would have offered that or a little more. The tigers dilemma.
Im hoping they have used the departure of Batman to front load Naden, if we skim next years contract to its bare minimum, we can punt him easily pre season. He might not want to give up a 300 a year deal, but he might a 140

I look at that list and see quite a few relatively easy payout options to free up spots, if that is required.

But before that, Bateman, Sullivan & Naden are all free to go elsewhere according to reports.

Sezar could be let go if he hasn't had his MO agreed to by both parties.

There's 4 spots.

Tumeth, Feledy, Saukuru, Matamua, Sukkar & Fa'agutu could be cut & paid out without really being a huge issue. Both Lualili'i's as well. Given the amount of young players coming through, letting some go isn't exactly club destroying.

I think the club, if it needed to, could free anything up to 10 spots, particularly with the amount of cap space we carry.

I'm not saying they will free up 10 spots. But, if need be, they have options.

How would this look to you in all practicality? Ifwe paid them in full thats like a mil

You educated me again with computery stuff again (usually lingo), Demps. If you hit on any of the ticks, cash amounts or ], it takes you to the signing article. Pretty kool. If others haven’t checked it out they should.
Good pick up Demps. 👍🏻👍🏻
