Do you enjoy Rugby League?

Haven't watched a single game this year, probably won't watch any. More enjoyable ways to spend 2 hours on a weekend.

I did that in season 2014 and enjoyed one of the most productive and happiest winters in my adult life. Unfortunately I came back this year to find the game even more dull and my side even more pathetic….oh well.

I've found myself switching to other sports. Where something interesting actually happens.

all the tries that are scored are all carbon copies of one another anyway. No innovation at all happening.

Watching NRL and NBA at the same time has made me realize what an amazing game NBA is and how boring NRL has become.

Hope it can get good again. Simplifying refereeing and reducing interchange should help.

Your Point?

I suppose when the Wests Tigers are playing regularly Semi Final Footy you will come on here and sing the praises then .

Forevertiger, I think alot of us are hoping NRL will be good again, and remembering that on it's day it IS the best sport in the world. There are still good moments, it's just fewer between those moments. Much of what is exciting in the game is killed off. Even when an amazing try is scored, it takes so long to award it, it's not that exciting anymore.

Wouldn't argue anything of what you said , i'm not happy about alot of rules in the game but i love the game and Wests Tigers despite it all.

Last thing you want to read is people saying you haven't watched a game for over a year :blah :blah :blah to me your not a supporter anyway and jog on and support the other Sports you went and watched .

Sick of the Negativity , we are going through a very tough patch we all know that no one is sugar coating anything .

The game will only improve when they get back to using one referee only and ditch the TRY /NO TRY BS !

I thought the Benefit of the doubt was a farce , the current system is an abortion IMO .

Not as much as I used too!, I still had a local team to support and the Balmain Tigers were my Sydney side, used to love sitting around the wireless circa 1996 waiting for the last game to come through around 4.30pm to see how our FootyTab bets went, then Super League ruined everything.
My local club went bellyup through a series of mismanagement and the Balmain club were forced into a merger that has so far had some success, even when I was forced to subscribe to Pay-TV just so I could see Balmain play I loved the day when they had all 20 or so teams playing back to back all day in the replays.
The merger has bought some sunshine into my life but not as much as it should have, I still wear my Tigers gear the next day even though they might have lost but in this day and age I sometimes go to work for Over Time rather than watch the match live.

I follow Chelsea in EPL so that's a positive for me. When it comes to the Wests Tigers and the NRL, I still use the EPL for a comparison.

Following WT's is like supporting any team in the EPL outside of the big 3 or 4 - we are just making up the numbers.

And just like the majority of EPL teams, all we ever look forward to is NOT winning the wooden spoon (or relegation in their case)

It's interesting reading a lot of posts. Looks to me that there is a common thread with people who have followed our game for some time - lethargy. Unfortunately, that's the result of poor results over a long period of time.

I certainly do remember enjoying the game much more prior to the establishment of the NRL. News Ltd have a lot to answer.

Here we go, the "true supporters" BS again.

Not everyone's life revolves around the game mate, moreover the game is going to shit with the way it is being regimented. This turns people off. When the product is rubbish, people turn the televisions off and stop walking through the gates.

I dare say these guys have supported the game longer than you've been alive. Hell, I'm willing to bet I've followed the game longer than you've been alive.

To be fair CQ, we're a chance if we get our house in order. Aston Villa will never win the EPL.

Admit it CB you really wanted to type WHU

But your right , if you can get it right you can be a serious contender

In the EPL teams may mount a challenge for a few months but need everything to go right to stay thereabouts

CB i think your missing the point here , Milky isn't saying not to support other code's…... it's the support for our Club when things aren't happening right is what his referring to .

I have supported League since the mid 80's and yes the game has changed dramatically no doubt about it , it's commercially driven these days . They have taken away the things that i grew up loving the game so much Shoulder Charges , punch ups in the scrums , no lifting in the tackles , Penalty athons , 2 Refs but to say you have not watched a game all this year is what Milky would be referring to "supporter right here" quote.

The only way i would never watch a Rugby League game again is if they ever kick out Wests Tigers out of the Comp.

YOU are missing the point mate
The question that was asked was "do you enjoy rugby league"?
It is a question about your love for the game and has fist all to do with Wests Tigers. If your answer is I love Wests Tigers therefore l love Rugby League than I'd suggest you don't understand the question.

I don't enjoy Rugby League as much as I used to. It has nothing to do with the Tigers or any other team really, I mean I still watch the games but nowhere near as much enthusiasm as I did 4-5 years ago

After tonight, it further reaffirms everything I hate about the game.

Tonight's match was like masturbating with sandpaper. By watching the game I was only *&^%ing myself and it was painful.

What grade of paper did you use 60 , 120 , 180  .

Te gusta la Paja

I am not enthusiastic about footy at all this year… The fact my team going like a busted doesn't help BUT I'm hating the way the game is played compared to the way it was played in the 90's and early 2000's...

I hate how the refs call the game

I hate the video ref system

I hate the wrestle

I hate the way big players are too afraid to take on players their own size... Instead they just aim up on the smallest players

I hate how predictable the tactics are by all coaches.....

I hate how there is little enterprise play

I hate the 5 hit ups and a bomb tactic

I hate Dave Smith and the path he has taken the game

I hate how players whinge to the refs at every play

I hate Craig Bellamy for destroying our game

I hate the Storm

But I'll still go to the games as I'm a WT fan and my son is a bigger fan....But not really enjoying the game ATM

Unless the Wests Tigers switch to playing a different sport then probably not.

At the end of the day, it's an entertainment product that is no longer entertaining.

Sad, I used to enjoy rugby league.
