Do You Want James Tedesco To Stay?

No thanks. He's shown his true colours over the past 6 months. The fact he's "allegedly" even considering switching his mind and possibly resigning solely due to the fact the NRL rejected the Rooster's TPAs is truly disgusting. Tedesco didn't take a "$700k paycut" to join the Roosters, it's just most of his salary is stashed away within TPA's. Money was a big influence on Tedesco's decision, because if he really cared about being part of a winning team & culture he would not have allowed this saga to drag on for so long (affecting our results on field) and would take a paycut with the Tigers which would allow us to use further money to buy other players in important positions and allow for Tedesco to really get a chance to be within a winning team (if he truly didn't care about the money).

Tedesco is a great player, but unfortunately, we need to let him go. On the bright side, the less influence Isaac Moses has on this team the better. We are now able to build a well-rounded team using the 3's money, which under former management was wasted on "potential". Think about it, there are 12 other teams doing better than us on the ladder, none of which have their own "Tedesco" but have well-rounded teams. What's the point of having a superstar in Tedesco at fullback, whilst also having players like Kevin Naiqama and Jordan Rankin alongside him (no offence, but these players are past their best).

Really torn on this one. He is a quality player that can be a game breaker, but the cap space could help us strengthen a few positions.

He is no hope of staying this is nonsense seriously he has had an offer since last year. We need to help the Roosters get him on board and get players back. He doesn't want to be here. Did what he had to this week and looked like he was trying no not get injured before the contract is registered.

Of course I want him to stay, but I would always be thinking that he could just up and leave at any time - he's done it twice now already and I have to question his loyalty, tbh.

Unless he went to the club and said I'm ready to sign right now without a COP because I was a goose, then NO.

I'm not going to vote because this is not going to happen.

I'd like him to stay in terms of him being a valuable player but I'm opposed to spending the reported $1.2m out of the cap for one player. We still need to recruit a solid team for 2018.

LOL wonder where he is now. Gotta say, he played pretty decent under Potter.

Team comes before a player, but Teddy is a really special player, he's the best fullback in the NRL currently IMO. I don't think he has an ego or the selfishness of a "star". He's as humble as they come.

Rowe is in the QLD cup I think.

Its not about the money remember. So TPA's being knocked back shouldn't matter at all.

What TPA's knocked back? Where has it been said TPA's were knocked back.

I believe SG said somewhere that the NRL knocked back the TPA's the Roosters were offering Tedesco, causing him to have second thoughts but I doubt it.

I think you will find that Geo was the one that posted it and later clarified that he had "heard it on the grapevine" in response to Ink.

A yes from me, but not at more than a million from cap.

No its time to understand that he wanted to leave for fame and fortune that he wasn't getting as a fullback at the tigers in his mind. Really upset that the league do not have terms in place for juniors brought thru the club to entice some sort of stability tenure for supporters.
Always worried that teddy is going to get hurt in each tackle don't know if this is because i realise how valuable he is to us or his spindly build is made for injury at least i wont have to worry about this anymore especially if we paid 1.2 M.
But then again we did let Arthur Beetson go many years ago and i still think of that from time to time over the years, hope Teddy doesnt become our Arthur

I said no. He doesnt want to be at our club so let him go, this is the second merry go round with Teddy. I understand he is our best player and somewhat irreplaceable but we want players who want to be there and take pride in the black orange and white jersey.
