Does Tedesco have the body of a first grader?

I was watching the footy show (inb4 "footy show is crap") last night, and Fatty was interviewing Michael Macguire. He mentioned how he just didn't have the body to play rugby league, forced to retire at only 23.

It got me thinking. Every time Tedesco runs the ball, I close my eyes. It seems as though he is injured just about every game.

I have no doubts about his abilities, but it seems inevitable he is going to pick up another serious injury.

Tedesco worries me every time his tackled he gets up either limping or clutching some part of his body.

I think his frame is fine, mentally up to it as well. That said he is coming of a knee reco, shown repetitive aggravation of injuries in his legs and may at this point need that bit of time in reggies to repair back up to 100%. He is doing a good job, but cannot help thinking we may be walking a fine line with how far we are pushing his body considering he is still esentially in the recovery period. There is a big difference between being able to play a year after going under the knife, and being back to 100%.

Can simona play fullback? Wouldn't mind seeing that with koro coming back. Teddy needs some time to fix his running style.

Where's that's inside ball we saw last year??

Simona can, played there against the Rabbits last year for half a game and killed it.

I wouldn't drop Tedesco, massive talent. I do however have concerns with the way he gets to his feet after every tackle and the way he seems to slip over a lot bringing the ball back, he looks like he's in pain everytime he plays the ball. He's got a good physical frame for his age, maybe mentally he's not ready I really am not sure. Maybe some time in Reggie's is an option purely due to getting him 100% mentally and physically.

The other option for fullback is Nofo. Believe he played his juniors there, and possibly Aus Schoolboys? Someone may be able to correct me if I'm wrong there.

Tedesco must be downing a few VBs before every game. He cant keep to his feet slipping over all the time.

Safe as houses at the back with a good kicking game from the Sharks.

Even if he doesn't have the frame of a guy like Inglis, the fact he is willing to take those balls and gets smashed says a lot about his mental strength.

Physical is a lot easier to develop.

Looking forward to seeing him in our #1 jersey for years to come

Haha worst game? You're mad. He was good tonight.

HIS worstgame. bad positioning at fullback. even moltzen makes tackles like the ones he missed on carney and fifita. terrible last line defense for a fullback. dropped ball at their 10.. another turning point.

not saying he was the worst out there, but it was below par for his standards

Funny the difference in opinions.
I thought tonight was close to the best he's played.
Took some amazing grabs, and backed up well - getting a try by doing so too.

despite the 40/20 he was great. And I don't think too many fullbacks would have been able to prevent that 40/20

So true Saber. All any of us express on here are opinions. Nothing more than that. And, yes, opinions will always vary. I also thought Tedesco was solid tonight.

Thought he played well tonight. Always puts his body on the line & gives 100%. But coming off a serious injury this could go against him unfortunately. He is someone I want in first grade but I'd give him some time in Reggie's to get his body right, esp if we're out of semi contention. We have to look after these young kids, I believe they'll win us a premiership one day. Plus gives us an opportunity to move Simona or Nofo to fb when koro comes back. Imagine seeing either of those 2 bringing the ball back in space!!
