Dont blame Luani & Lawrence

I thought Luani went alright today, apart from one last tackle option.

Lulia was lackluster and had one terrible read that lead to a try.

Lawrence, well, the less said the better.

Just one of those days for Richards.

Bodene's effort was a couple of levels down on normal.

Debutants went well.

Lodge seemed to go ok. Not out of his depth at all. Kapow, Moses, Brooks, Nofo, Thompson, Austin (good player). I agree that Sironen needs time in the lower grades to get back some form. Anasta really needs to go together with Lawrence and Lulia. Brooks and Moses in the halves for me. With Farah back they would be great.

Depending on the salary cap requirements, some blooding of the younger blokes for next year would be good.

Is this where I can register for the Lawrence death rider club? The guy has been an absolute hack for three years now. At least Fitzhenry could run doughnuts, Lawrence just dives and face plants. Can't move laterally, bad reads running out of the line in defence, bricks for hands, runs into touch. Has-been hack >>> ESL.

Remind me when was Sironen in form..I must have missed that game ? Another one of Potter's favorites does nothing but is in the team each week.

I noticed some play between Moses and brooks today on several occasion which suggests big things in the future from this combination

wow, this thread is all over the place!

firstly, lulia. man i have never seen this guy do anything!! decent that is… but i do understand that 3 debutants in the one week was probably thought too many, so i guess it had to be lulia.
a self confessed lawrence fan, i admit i was frustrated with his defence today. he just seemed to hang off too much?! i dont know... i never played centre. but i did think apart from a few mistakes he really had a go hitting the ball up and should've scored that try from the awesome brooks pass: that is what lawrence is for. running a line and hitting the gap with a good pass.

as for luani, i was concerned about how he would go when i saw the thread on him earlier this week and he was saying he needed to come out of his shell more. i think this may have been in mind when he attempted that impossible score from dummy half and ran into the upright and 9 panthers defenders...

but as for dont blame these guys, blame potter? thats nonsense. the players make the mistakes and should be blamed for it, just as they make the good plays and should be congratulated for them.

I have said before that CS is not worthy of tying his fathers shoelaces, low impact game again today, just does not have the ability, must be fit now

Really disappointing day for our centres, could see Penriff's backs having a field day going through Lawrence and Lulia like hot curries. Lawrence has been a loyal stalwart over the years for us but today was like watching your favourite old dog limping around the yard and realising with sadness that it's time to put the old girl down.

Some big positives today though:
1\. Loved the look of Moses out there, played with confidence, showed a little bit of flair with Brooks, solid at fullback (waaaaaay better than Rowe).
2\. Thought Lodge looked good too, put in some good solid runs and looks like a big, imposing figure that can partner Woodsy
3\. Was a great atmosphere sitting on the hill at Leichhardt with the family. Even though we lost Im proud to be a Tigers supporter at one of the best home grounds in Rugby League

I think at the end of the day if we had Teddy, Farah, Woodsy and Simona in we would have won.

I do blame them. I also want to add a S.

Curtis is a myth. Drop his oldmans name and all you have is another big kid with little footballing ability. I just don't see the love this guy gets.

Couldn't agree more

Add me to the list. Why is this bloke in the side?

actually i do remember thinking about sironen twice during todays game: firstly, in the first half i thought "wow, siro is finally getting involved".
then in the second half i thought "oh, theres siro. i forgot he was playing".

when he first started he looked great. the last year or so he has faded (even without injury) and i wonder if he doesnt like playing in the second row and his heart is not fully in it? maybe he really liked being a 5/8th?

either way, i think its hard to disagree he is yet to get back to how we'd like and doesnt seem to be adding too much lately.

with the depth in the forwards now i dont think it is a stretch to say he could come under a lot of pressure to hold his place if he doesnt improve.

Listen the 3 L's tried their best.
What more else could we ask from them but their best.
Don't be hard on them.

Maybe they gave their best but Potter did not do any favours for anybody but Pebrith by selecting three players with very limited ability.

thats what i was trying to tell black n white - he's reaction was that i was on the pipe.go figure

Potter didn't drop the ball five times.

Potter didn't throw the ball away twice in 20 seconds,

Potter didn't get found out in defence for three of Penrith's Tries.

Potter didn't get a team mate bundled into touch.

You want to know who DID all those?

Lawrence.

So that's why I think it's Lawrence's fault, and by all means please explain to me why it isn't the case. I'm already in bad enough of a mood after that poo-fest that was dished up by some of our incumbents.

Luani wasn't awful today, but Austin was MILES better.

Lol. It's great to have this forum to vent our frustration out on. Don't u think?? Agree with u about Lawrence.

We have some beauties don't we? I think the coach's hands are tied to a degree, but my God… Luani, Lawrence and Lulia. don't even deserve their names to begin with a capital letter. How many times can Lawrence drop a ball or make a diabolical defensive play? What goes through a hookers mind when there's a battalion of defenders in front of him on the last and he decides to go fro the line himself? And how can one guy be so invisible with such a shiny head? Im a little surprised to read a few having a go at some of the forwards though. I thought overall, the effort was there with that lot, but the errors....... 😢

tiger mama,
Lawrence isn't up to scratch. We all know that. He tries hard, but he is simply not up to it anymore. He hash't been up to it for weeks, perhaps years. However, it is only recently though has it become so glaringly obvious.

So we have to ask how he can keep getting selected. The coach and management therefore certainly have what to answer for.
We can all recognise that Lawrence is substandard and this is precisely why AHX is right. Don't shoot the messenger.
But I'll go a step further than AHX and say that picking Lawrence week after inept week is a slap in the face to the fans. We deserve better.

When interviewed last week Lawrence said " We made too many mistakes, we need to play better" WE.. what we….YOU
YOU Lawrence YOU and again today YOU.

And don't get me started on Last tackle Luani... Why are you still here ? Please go.
