He certainly looked more dangerous with the ball in the centres. He's an interesting player because he's easily our best under the high ball, and has made plenty of kick return metres, but lacks the outright speed to be a constant threat at fullback. His build and running style is more suited to the centres but I think he could make a go of it at 6.

It's obvious that Reynolds is on the outer and with Benji gone next year, there's an opportunity for Doueihi at 6 - I think we have enough centres on the books that we'll see him at 6 next season.

I believe the club's plan is for him to play 5/8th but I dont think he and Brooks will be a good combo. Madden and Duoeihi may work but then we are back to 2 inexperience players playing in the halves and I don't like that either.

what's your suggestion based off current roster? Mbye?

That is a really difficult question, I honestly believe we need an upgrade in the halves for next season but if I had to go with a combo that is already here I would trialling Madden at half, Brooks at 5/8th Doueihi in the centres and Mbye at fullback. I do have concerns with Mbye under the high ball though so he would be catching bombs everyday over the off-season.

Interesting if we secure Addo-Carr as a fullback:
Addo-Carr
Nofoaluma
Doueihi
Leilua
Talau
Brooks
Madden

No room for the skipper!!

I would have AJ ahead of Talau. Mbye to 14. There is always injuries, form slumps and
B J suspension so you need depth. Momo and Talua are great depth.

Agree, Talau hasn't looked up to it for me. Good for depth though.

In the limited time seeing AJ he has footy work and ball playing skills he is miles in front of Talau .. Tommy is an interesting one no idea really where he fits in at present but definitely has an upside !

So where does Momorovski play if AD is center, 2nd row off bench? AD did seem more exciting.

Momorovski is a similar player to AD, AD is bigger, stronger, has a better passing game and better footwork.

And that’s our issue ..
We have so many players of similar caliber
Keep the best .. punt the rest

They really are very similar to each other, both even have that baby giraffe running style.

Yeah I am no talent scout but I can see plenty in AJ. Haven't seen anything standout in Tommy tbh. I don't mean to bag the kid! Just saying. AJ i can see =p

Doueihi admitted on CH9 that he was pretty lucky with the kicks. Hasnt been doing much kicking because of niggling leg injuries, just did it as Mbye said he was feeling a bit tight. When asked about the final kick he said he was nervous as he had a very similar one against the dogs last season to win in the exact same spot and missed it.

Talau would make an interesting option at lock. Maybe still too green to be in the middle of the park but given he played 5/8 coming through the grades if he can find the right attitude in defence then a big ball playing 13 would add another dimension to our attack. That way you can fit more speed into the outside backs

Do you think Willow that Adam may still be carrying an injury and hence his lack of speed or is he just one paced...

He's certainly not at full speed due to his ankle but he also played with less strapping last night and he can be elusive and hard to handle as his run in the lead up to Nofoaluma's third try showed. He is a bit one paced though but his footwork is good.

Mbye to me is the ideal 14. He can do a job at 1, 9, 4 or 6. Based on who we have next season I'd be looking closely at Doueihi and Mbye for the 6 jersey.

We have no space for a utility back on the bench when our forwards often get trampled.

I’d be ok with that

I love doeihi. He is all class 100% effort everyweek
Also, he can play 5/8, centre, fullback and winger.
Damm he's a keeper.

Mbyes best spot has always been utility, including Bulldogs days. He is probably the best bench utility in the game.

Which is a very sad title

I think Doueihi had his most effective game for WT'S since joining he's more dangerous at centre because he's a big unit and can beat a man and get an offload away at FB he's easy pickings trying to find a gap when taking the ball up his goal kicking is a bonus if he is now over his leg problems he'll be up against some good centres in the closing weeks so we'll get a better idea he'd probably slip into 5/8 as well but I would say that's Benji’s till the end.
