I remember in the world cup, he played 2RF, half, centre...

The guy can do it all.

With Hastings coming next year, our team looks like a shake up.

Braith the gronk said Doueihi wants to play 6.

Doueihi is a footballer he'll play wherever the coach wants he plays well at 5/8 but sometimes runs the ball instead of letting go at centre when given clean ball he is dangerous.

Future origin centre.

How long did it take them to pick Farah?
And once picked, played a man of the series performance.

Freddy and them ain't that smart to pick Adam over their little gronky favs- Wighton, Criton and such.

Doueihi is a much better option that Wighton, Wighton has been useless this year

Of course.
They lack logic though...
And I don't wanna say they're racist... but

Peter Wallace, Ennis, etc. Over farah for years.

Farah played perfect and Greg Bird for man of the match...

Idk.

He isn’t ready for origin, his defense is terrible & the speed of the game will eat him alive.
Give him the rest of this season and half of next season at center to work on that area of the game.

Ball in hand and direct running he would be awesome he just needs time to settle into the position and defending his man/inside runners.

Have we revealed our true centre of excellence?

Great player. Doueihi naturally wants to run first then pass.
It helped the team move the play around to the edges in attack and gave Doueihi more space. He still saw lots of ball and could do more with it.

We were the team spreading the ball and the opposition looked to be struggling to keep up. Rather than vice visa. Joey L looked gassed at the end of the game but the rest of the team enjoyed the pace. Liddle, Brooks, Mbye, Laurie is a fast spine. Maybe Roberts on the wing when he comes back.

AD is the heart of the Tigers now IMO.

Yep. He is captain material.
Could be a better version of Jarrod Croker.
Captain, Goalkicker, Centre.
Plus Backup 5/8, back rower, fullback.

Thought Doueihi was the answer at 6 for WT and encouraged his selection there, though in a few short weeks it seemed obvious that even though he was playing well as an individual, his style did not similarly benefit the team as a whole, particularly so in nullifying the contribution of a centre alongside.

Adam also had defensive issues there that were contributing to the large scorelines against us. He may well improve his skills to balance his game to demand a return to the halves and I remain hopeful that he will.

Whilst some of my questions on Maguire remain, I applaud him for making the decision to move Doueihi wider to improve the team as a whole, even if for mine clearly a few weeks later than it should have been. Similar thoughts on his changes due to the inconsistent form of middle players, which has been a big problem.

Doueihi will go back to 5/8 I reckon by next year, if he doesn't we will need to sign a 5/8 to replace him because Mbye will surely be gone.

Wondering where Hastings fits into all of this?

Replacement and/or backup for Brooks if he doesn’t get his act together by the end of the season.

I think there's more to this Signing than just that.

Are people worried he might want to leave at contracts end if we play him at 3/4 continually ??

He still has areas of his game to work on as a 5/8th but he is progressing nicely in that role. I think his game is better at 5/8th but the outside backs play better with someone like Mbye as the 5/8th until he improves those areas of his game.

Its a hard one

He’s a natural centre
He’s a manufactured 5/8

Certainly looking that way but after only one game we’ll have to wait and see.

I think there's more to this Signing than just that.

My initial thoughts were of Hastings primarily in the role of a mobile ball playing lock in the new faster game and filling in at dummy half for spells, whilst also covering for the halves. Sure, he is untested there, but is tough having defended in the middle and not small.

My opinion remains as I expect Doueihi to return to the halves at some point, but if not, Jackson will likely partner Brooks.

Yeah part of me thinking Douihei to centre could be permanent.

Hastings to 7 or 6 is a serious question.

I wouldn't mind,

7 Hastings
6 Brooks

If Hastings can deliver.

But yeah Douihei at 6 is also an option.
We will see.

The paper reckons he was signed to play as a lock doing some playmaking but he could take the 7 jersey too I reckon.

Doueihi at centre was more about brooks than AD, he's a gun at 5/8 and centre and we've signed Gildart apparently and want gagai too.
