If you feel the Tigers should dump Benji Marshall from the Team sign up!

Won't happen. As CulturedBogan so cleverly put it "as the season is now long gone. There is nothing to be gained for the club by dumping Marshall, but they will quietly cash in on him as he plays out his last few games."

Benji's last game & 200th game will get a lot of diehard fans/supporters through the gates. Whether you like him or not at the moment, he will still get bums on seats in his last days.

I am just not attending games or functions where he is selected or honored in any way. That is my petition of sorts.

Rang and cancelled my reservation for the GF Luncheon as well.

I'd love to know if brooks is a chance against dragons. Cause if he is count me in to go an watch. If not I'm not showing up to watching u11s halves play..

Just don't see it happening.

If you think we have bad press ATM , benji's dumping will send it into overdrive.

We all know he has to go…..and he will in.... 3 games time.

Potter has to drop Benji - he has to think about his own job and fielding an out of form player who isn't part of the roster next season just doesn't make sense. If he wants his young blokes to "hit the ground running" he has to give them a shot against the Dragons.

My god… How things can change in 26 weeks...

I think this type of behavior is deplorable. He's going... He's gone in fact. While some comments are justified, Benji's overall influence on our club has been so monumental, in terms of fans, crowds, merchandise, sponsorship, exposure, the premiership... He can ride out the rest of the season... A few games for the young guys getting belted by 60 is by no way doing them any good, nor is it blooding them for anything. It's simply handed them a basket team to fail in, and what's worse, perhaps threatened the lower grades chances at success? Something I'm sure they have work very hard at all year.

Can you imagine if they got a season ending injury for next year. Then what? Young guys need to train with the firsts squad during the off season and then blooded at the start of the season. Throwing them to the wolves will most likely achieve nothing.

Very sad times indeed at the :sign:

Its hard to work out, I'd love Brooks to get a go vs St George where he will get a better opportunity, but for the week after vs Souths it would confidence shattering.

Fear not Adman ….. Our fearless CEO Mister Mayor was on Channel 9 tonight ordering fans to "back off" from the Benji Bashing ........ He insisted said he is not interested in any petitions the fans organise. He said the coach picks the team not the fans ..... Geez Grant .... What revelation will you come up with next ?

Finally Mayer shows he is not hear to win a popularity contest. About time he showed some leadership and backbone.

I dont rate Potter but whilst he remains coach, he picks the side.

So no freedom of speech for fans to vent their spleen ?

Funny how the fans saved the coach ,but they can't jam the 5/8 to kingdom come

At least Potter is earning his wage ,unlike the 5/8

Sorry. I can't agree which logical person will fork out the $$$ to watch someone with no pride in the jersey. Mate me and my 3 kids & my brother and his2\. Won't be going, but like others if the youngsters Brook s or Moses were I would. Would rather say I was there for their first game. Rather than some hasbeens 200.

I have no problem with the petition or people venting their spleen. I have a problem with a club that makes decisions based on the demands of fans. Its good to see that Mayer finally appears to have drawn a line in the sand.

The other way to show Benji your feelings ,would be when Benji does his lap of honour stand by the fence and turn your back to him

Exactly what he has done to the Tigers and their fans

I can't remember too many decisions being made on demands by the fans …. Can you ?
Maybe the extra game at Leichhardt and Campbelltown (ie instead of three each) .... What other decisions have been made to appease the fans ?

Yeah, signing a petition will make you feel better,if that's your decision.

There is obviously more to this situation[ halves selection]] than meets the eye.

Teams must get the giggles when they face up to our halves combination.

But - im a gambling man.

on spotsbet, the odds of benji scoring a try at any stage of a game has drifted out to 4 to 1.Worth a tenner each game I think.

as for bwaith,i don't believe he has troubled the scorers once this year.Outstanding stuff!

Im not sure. There were strong rumours that fans saved Potter.

I simply think it is naieve to think or expect the club will select players based on a petition.

I support Mayer for saying so.
