My Gut Feeling is we had him agree to come to us on a smaller amount than current and the Dogs come in late and offered him a bigger amount that he could not refuse and a number 1 Jersey.. I think this might be a blessing for us as i think there may be some good quality players coming up for grabs in the next few weeks.. At least the coach is trying to over haul the roster by offloading some of Ivans signings.. I am not a patient person so the next few weeks are going to be a struggle especially if we don't get a win to settle everyone down.

Like plenty of others I am not to concerned about missing out on DWZ. He is a good NRL player, but not a game breaker.
What really concerns me is why we missed his signature. The fact we have a lot of cap space tired up in a few players who can’t make the starting 17 and can’t be traded. I guess if these players were all off contract at the end of the season it would not be so depressing, but we are stuck with these contracts for two more years. So basically we are stuck in quick sand with very little hope of introducing any new quality talent in the near future.
After Friday nights effort we will need a miracle to be competitive without the introduction of some real class. I wish I had something to be positive about but things are pretty dark at HQ

@GNR4LIFE I’d have no issues with signing Martin at all. Especially if it’s a swap for Gamble. I’m not going to hold my breath though.
