@swag_tiger that’s the final point they must needle out with his manager - personally I’d be happy Mbye into 5/8... people keep saying it won’t work but he’s definitely going to find form again and don’t forget Kevvy W thinks he’s good enough to play origin somewhere up in the defensive line - our coach is partial to a bit of a sheenius manoeuvre. Packer can go and with more good pigs like Matterson then DWZ’s running games will take off, throw Liddle in !

On the ABC call of last nights game they were discussing the rumour that had been around ages ago of Lichaa coming here. Said that wasn't happening but said that Madge might look at Mbye as a number 9 after Farah retires. He has had the odd game at hooker and there is talk he will get a run at dummy half on wednesday night.

I didn't realize this (remember maybe ) but someone in the press was saying that Mbye played hooker in the GF v Souths

I’ve read some posts saying he’s no better than who we already have in the backs - really?

He’s the current Kiwi fullback and before that a Kiwi winger. He’s not in top form atm but most other Panthers aren’t either.

I think he would improve our roster but as others have stated it must be at the right price. He has decent size and pace which we lack.

Based on 2018 form no one would argue with you

But he is polar opposites form wise

@cqtiger I agree DWZ would be a massive boost for our backline where that is ? he is a quality footballer. I think there are options for Mbye under Madge’s guidance, but I really do not think that DWZ is demanding the No1 spot....

The fact that Madge has captained Mbye, means that he has a great lot of faith in him to lead our team to victory, he also did he same to DWZ in the NZ squad meaning that he must feel the same...
but as he has said "West Tigers is my Team now", so i dont think we will be getting DWZ anytime soon

Pretty different quality of player. Lolohea was a reserve grade winger for the warriors. Dallin is the incumbent NZ captain.

Not really out of favour with current Club playing on the wing or not even playing..heaps of talent..not performing..

It was never a definite - it was just brought up by the ABC team - I would think Liddle will get the nod and personally i'd like to see Robson as backup. However it will be interesting to see how Mbye goes at hooker if he gets a run in SOO.
