even if it’s a player we don’t need

You admit to him being an upgrade but he's not a player we need. You talk a lot of sense buddy.

Yeah I do. Do you really want to waste more money on a player for the spine when we badly need a centre and to a lesser exten, a backrower? That’s why we don’t need DWZ, because the money spent on him, can go to better use in a position that actually needs strengthening.

DWZ heard Shane Flanagan was going to be bulldogs coach shortly. Simples.

Is he even clear to return? Great singing if true.

The sooner the supporter base of this club realise that from board level to many further down the pole are fools and are in positions that they are totally unqualified for .. ask for a weather forecast or ask the worlds oldest teenager about anything football !. We had a person in our club that would not take any crap so the weasels at board level knifed her ..
I keep telling you all to get angry but for most it is “there is always next year “talk about weak as ! You do realise these fools eat / drink and have premium access to everything football for nothing ... how is our team going and how much talent is in all grades of our club that these fools have given us supporters ... yes there is always next year these guys can not wait !

That is the biggest load of crap i have read. So funny blaming the board because a winger who thinks he is a fullback didn't sign with us. And even if your assumption that the board are doing an animal farm impersonation is true then getting angry isn't going to help. To even have a chance of voting a Wests Magpies board member out you have to be a member for 3 years to have voting rights and then you have to hope that whoever you vote in gets to sit on the WT board. As for the Balmain side they don't get a vote anyway. The constitution of this club is tied up so no one on the board is going anywhere.

Yeah, there's not much we can do as fans. Eventually the fan base will die off and then the club will follow suit.

Doubt he wanted to compete here for the fullback spot and at the Bulldogs they can just throw Meaney back to CC. We would of just overpaid for a winger at fullback. To many unknowns if he came to us.

@happy_tiger I don’t dispute that. Fact is he is not coming. We can sit on here and sook, or we can hope that not getting him opens the door for someone better. It’s not Madge’s fault Cleary has him hog tied for the next few years. We’ve reached the halfway point of this year and I think Madge has identified the weaknesses and now trying to fix it. I’ll never complain about that.

Totally agree ....I'm happy he isn't coming but it has disrupted our season and we got exactly diddly from it

Judging by some of the reaction.. I'm surprised #MadgeOut isn't trending on social media 😅

People need to calm down. We wanted him, he wanted to come, but we just could not shift a player. How long did we expect he was going to sit on the sideline waiting for us? He’s a good player who I would have liked, but it’s not to be. One door closes another opens. That’s life.

But how much trouble has it caused .....at least 5-6 different players got thrown up as trade bait

That doesn't do much for team harmony .....and that's the one thing that came out of Friday in my opinion , lot of players weren't putting in for others

But that’s what happens when you’ve got a team of sooks .
This is under 12’s isn’t it ?

Are you referring to their mentality or age

Tigers fan base, wants a perfect team, perfect coach......

Madge is the most reliable coach we have had in years imo.....
I reckon we need a blues and tigers win to calm everyone down

@2005magic We are not Souths or Roosters so NO option of a Medical retirement regardless... We are stuck with this shit for a few years yet.

Yep we’ve won 1 of our past 5 and getting a bit worse every week. He’s signed one player who’s now been put in reserve grade and announced he was doing a fire sale to get a player he didn’t end up getting. Things humming along really well.

New Zealand Test captain Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has signed with the Bulldogs - but he shouldn't be playing fullback, according to Peter Sterling.

DWZ was linked to the Tigers, where his former Kiwis coach Michael Maguire is in charge, but has signed an 18-month contract with Canterbury. It brings to an end his time with Penrith, where he fell out of favour this season under new coach Ivan Cleary.

Watene-Zelezniak prefers to play fullback, but Dylan Brown is playing No.1 for the Panthers. The Kiwi star will have to unseat Nick Meaney to play fullback at the Bulldogs. But that shouldn't happen, Sterling says.

"Nick Meaney wouldn't be overly [happy] - he's been really good for them this year," Sterling said on the Sunday Footy Show. "I don't think Dallin is a fullback anyway. I think he's a winger, to be honest."

@TheDaBoss The coach has done nothing so far to think he is the man to take the club to new limits. His latest presentation of the team leaves a bit to be desired! The one player he brings to the club he drops to reserve grade, try’s to unload half the team in one week , tried to bring a player to the club he has history with but the player laughs in his face and signs somewhere else, relays on 5 hit ups and a kick as the basis of his attack, seems to like to talk a lot about the boys .
But as with everything Weststigers there are heaps of excuses ...
So I expect that many like myself have seen nothing to get excited about as yet things might change.

Would have been handy but if pushing a player was not an option to sign him it is a high risk move. Madge should be still looking to move on Packer no matter what IMO. If he is not playing in FG here he should not be here.
