Effect of new rules

With one of the new rules being zero tackle following a ball being kicked dead by the attacking team, I am expecting more bombs and a bit more running on the last tackle. Really hoping that the third man in round the legs changes will get rid of some of the "dancing" we have had to put up with for the last few years. Thoughts?

As I have not been to a trial, nor watched any footy on the box this year, was also wondering if anyone had noticed any difference?

more bombs from further out would be good, (and needless to say more running on the last!). one thing that i find really annoying is teams who just get the ball up to the attacking zone and then a bomb on the last… repeat ad nauseam...

dont know what can be done to stop this, or even if anyone else wants it to, but teams who play like that make the game boring imo. i far prefer seeing players put through gaps by good moves.

I love a good set-play(Espeacially from inside the the attacking teams half), Bombing up on the last tackle 20 metres out is like you said so repetative I don't know how you could change it either…..It is so hard for halves to set up their backs these days with all these Fast,Agile,Strong Forwards around. (Fifita,Tamou,Burgesss) It's a new era the era of big, strong, smart, fast, agile Forwards. The days where Big,Dumb,Fat forwards who ran as hard as they could but had no agility, speed or smarts is long gone.

The one new rule that concerns me is the new player knocked unconscious not coming back on rule

Lets hope that they send more players off that are involved in knocking someone out illegally

Their are some teams that if you take out one player they probably aren't going to win

Some coaches and teams my use this rule illegally in my opinion

Never heard of this rule…what happens?

I think It is a great rule,But if the player got knocked out by an illegal tackle or move then the offender should be Sin binned and put on report or sent off on serious occasions. And depending on the seriousness of the offence the offender should be dealt with harshly to put a stop to players purposely trying to hurt other players.
