wankers and their guessing games

Ink I can remember when I had first joined the Forum and came out with some info that related to Todd Carney and an incident that had gone unreported by the media and later was proven to be correct

The first post made in regards to my comments was made by a MOD saying "ok I'll bite ….... "

You have been here a lot longer than me , how many times when new posters come on here and are ostracized by all and sundry when they post some stuff that no one believes

The Ben Barba thread recently was the perfect example ......

I saw first hand when I came out saying that I knew a member of the Tedesco family , especially when the Tede$co situation occurred

Sometimes when stuff seems unbelievable that could be occurring you don't want it posted because you 'll have 15 notifications when you log in all giving you hell for mentioning it or possibly believing it

And I'm not Robinson Crusoe in this , when I was first informed about Matt Ballin coming to the WT's and it actually happening was roughly 6 weeks

I think I PMed this person at least 3 times mocking them about it

Maybe until its proven incorrect we should cut posters some slack , and even then things can change in an instant , the Luke Lewis situation was very similar also

How is Teddy going anyway HT?

Seems WT are making some good off-season descions for a change. ET has earnt respect through his on field performances. Very happy he has re-signed.

ELIJAH Taylor has never been one to cause a scene.
>
Mild in his manner, Taylor prefers to be patient when dealing with his problems.
>
But when he remained unsigned at the Wests Tigers deep into November, he knew something had to change.
>
It’s why Taylor went over his manager’s head and finalised his deal at the Tigers himself.
>
“That was the first time I’ve done that,” Taylor said.
>
“But after starting the off-season and a deal still wasn’t put to bed, you’ve got to get things done yourself I suppose.
>
“In the off-season I left it up to my manager to sort out a new deal, but it was taking a really long time.
>
“It came to November and it still wasn’t done, so I just had to step up and do it and I finally got it done.
>
“I just called Justin Pascoe (CEO) and had a very open and honest discussion in his office and it was good.
>
“It took a lot longer than I thought, but I’m very glad to have it over and done with.
>
**“It’s a one year deal with an option for 2018 in my favour, so I’m pretty happy.”**
>
Taylor’s contract extension with the Tigers caps off an eventful season for the Kiwi-born back-rower.
>
After starting the year in reserve grade at Penrith, he fought hard to resurrect his career at the Tigers.
>
Taylor played 15 games for the joint-venture club, cementing himself as one of the team’s most consistent performers.
>
It’s a remarkable turnaround the unassuming forward doesn’t take for granted.
>
“At the start of the year I didn’t even like league at all,” he said.
>
“But I got the lifeline from the Tigers who gave me another opportunity.
>
“We have a lot of potential as a team and a lot of people don’t realise that.
>
“But in our core group of players we’ve got a lot of belief and we are training really hard to make sure we fulfil our potential.”
>
The raw talent at the Tigers was a major reason why Taylor wanted to stay at the club.
>
He had interest from rugby union, but says league was always his first priority.
>
“The Tigers set-up, the coaching and support staff and trainers are world class and I really wanted to work with them,” he said.
>
“That made the decision a lot easier.
>
“Rugby was an option, but I wasn’t as close as lot of people thought I was.”
>
Taylor now has his sights set on regaining his position in the New Zealand Test side after missing out on selection for the Four Nations.
>
“You want to be in that Kiwi team and I was pretty gutted not making it,” he said.
>
“To be told by the selectors that you had a great season with the Tigers and you played really well, but we are heading in another direction.
>
“That’s pretty shattering. But it just makes me want to work harder and I’ve just got to focus on the Tigers now and play as well as I can.”

Im really concerned with the number of guys off contract in one hit.

WT's are in the same situation as most club's. All fighting with Grant and the NRL. I can't see the major contracts being signed until they know what the cap will be for the years ahead.

Sounds like the poor bloke needs a new manager. Having to sort it out on his own is not ideal so I hope the manager doesn't get a cut of his deal.

We're not the only club in that boat. Some clubs have even more. Outside of the big 4, Noffa is the only player i'd really be annoyed to see leave. Guys like Grant, Edwards, Kev, even Simona are all replaceable imo.

On ET's contract, i hope Idris' one is similar with the option being in our favour.

Sorry to disappoint but he probably will because he would have been involved in the negotiations at an earlier point. If he wants to keep ET on the books he should probably accept a reduced fee though…

ET's option is in his favour isn't it?

Some good news out of this ,
He came in and took over negotiations from his manager so he does have some drive and Brains , most may have let it keep going on and it turn to crap

Good it was not the club Fluffing around .

1 year with 1 year option sounds ok , I would have preferred 2 years as I think he is a good player

He sounds very positive and he sound like he believes we will compete

He should have said I also got a new Manager
